Why are so many people hell bent on Luis Enrique? He has been a pretty big failure at every single place he has managed (Roma, Celta, and both times he managed Spain) and the only ever success he had was at Barca where he had the greatest front 3 in history in MSN.

yep - my bottom of the list. Do not want him

Chelsea talks with Nagelsmann went positive. (@FabrizioRo)

Chelsea could appoint someone very fast, maybe after Liverpool, maybe end of this week, or it could go slow, it’s down to Chelsea - they want to be 100% sure on the next coach, they can’t miss again, they were convinced Potter was going to be the man. (@FabrizioRomano @podcastherewego)

Chelsea's owners have concerns over Julian Nagelsmann's age.

The Blues are impressed with his credentials and he ticks a lot of boxes, but co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have concerns that he is only 35.

Simeone would be a good fit, whether we like it or not, the fan base and club have a nasty streak (although not as bad as it was when I was a kid) and Simeone has all that aggressive edge in bundles..... Potter was too sentimental with Bruno coming out with more emotional sh*te "pain" talk in the presser today.... this is competitive team sport, not group therapy

I would like to see Carlo ancelloti back.

That's a conversation that can maybe be had in a few years time when these players are reaching peak level.

Right now most of these players need intense micro coaching/stimulation which Ancelotti doesn't provide.

Romano sticking his neck out there, the appointment could be done quickly or not quickly

Yeah I don't understand the hype around him at all either

Was 9th place with Celta a failure given they spent most of the previous decade in the second tier and avoided relegation by a point the year before?

It’s not all about ‘profile’ or big name, we shouldn’t let the bad experience with Potter cloud judgment here, we need an elite base system - De Zerbi is the only premier league manager who adopts the Guardiola/Arteta playing style, in term of build-up phases and dynamics.. he’s an elite tactician. The problem with Nagelsmann and which has been echoed by others is that like Potter, he tinkers and changes systems too much; it’s the opposite to what we need.

De Zerbi however, would have to be a summer appointment evidently and even then, I can understand why our board may not want to deal with Brighton again (unfortunately). We have a great history with Italian managers and De Zerbi could be reunited with Mudryk.

Well thats about his level it seems, mid table in la liga! Woefully overrated manager imo - and its easy to judge based on how Spain have been despite some of the great talent they have at their helm
