It also shows we haven’t got the minerals to come back from 1 goal behind and even get a draw. FWIW I think 1 more win and we’ll definitely stay up.
April 8, 20233 yr I had hoped Lampard had learnt something since his first stint, but i was sadly deluded. tactically inept. The only saving grace was finally someone pulls Havertz off the pitch. Potters big problem was he took far too long, to switch to a back 3, and then arsed about with the starting 11 too much, he'd actually reached a point where we played pretty well, until reaching the final 3rd. we all knew if we had a striker who actually scored, or got into the position to score, we would be somewhere near at least competing. we NEED a manager who puts the fear of god into this mob, not afraid to sideline anyone unprepared to fight for their position. God help us on Wednesday, on the back of that woeful effort, i fear a cricket score. Can a team really manage to clear out about 25 players during the transfer window.
April 8, 20233 yr Sad how we didn`t even get a slight new manager bounce here. I 100% expected players to step up today and prove a point but no ... Nothing.
April 8, 20233 yr Another piss poor performance showing a lack of quality and intensity First rule of football , mat the very least match your opponent for effort. Wolves wanted it more, simple It doesn’t matter what system you play, if you can’t pass to a team mate you won’t win matches You won’t score goals if you make poor choices attacking. Zero shots on target in the second half htells a sorry talk again This team would struggle to score against Jeunesse Hautcharage! I expect a lot more effort on Wednesday but sadly the quality is lacking

I think the owners caved to fan pressure which is why he got the sack earlier than the end of the season. This was my preference, to be honest never wanted Tuchel gone.

April 8, 20233 yr Didn't watch the game so I have no idea how we played. Anyway sticking with Potter would have been probably the same result....
April 8, 20233 yr I think Fofana, Enzo and James were a solid 5, they weren't their best but they were the only ones that produced something positive when they touched the ball, but were constantly surrounded by mediocrity. The rest of the players were solids 2s or 1s
April 8, 20233 yr f**k Me, Having A Vocal Point Actually Allows You To Bring Other Players Into The Game, Havertz, Bar The Dortmund Game Has Not Done This, We Are f**ked Midweek With Him Through The Middle Leading The Line, Offers f**k All

April 8, 20233 yr If Frank Lampard didn’t realise just how big a task he has on his hands. He will after this game today.
April 8, 20233 yr I had thought his coming in was a win win for Frank. I see now this could finish off any hope he had of managing again.

April 8, 20233 yr It's Ken Bates fault for selling the club to a Russian and not foreseeing the invasion of Ukraine.
April 8, 20233 yr Kovvy, under the pressure of being part of a sorry-assed football club, feels the need to try and do everything, including trying to score.... so it takes away from his usual brill dribbling to create space and picking a proper forward pass. I blame climate change... and, of course, the sorry-assed football club. 🤬🤬🤬

April 8, 20233 yr 3 hours ago, Drogba1 said: We scored 85 goals in a back 3 under Conte in 2017 (2nd highest in the league) and 76 goals in a back 3 under Tuchel in 2022 (3rd highest in the league) Conte had a genuine playmaker in Hazard, a goal scoring No 9 in Costa, & a solid DM in Matic. That Tuchel season was a freak season, it was during the pandemic and quite a few games were rescheduled. The data makes no sense, & many players outperformed their Expected Goals & Assists data for that season. Edited April 8, 20233 yr by ducavis
April 8, 20233 yr Another 90 minutes I will never get back. Seems like a recurring theme of late. What I have noticed in recent weeks is a bit of inspiration off the opening touch but failing to score early they spend the next 80 minutes feeling sorry for themselves and giving up, I would exert more energy typing this than some of the players did in that match. Gawd freakin' awful. I believe it was a wee bit worse than the Southampton match, significantly worse than Villa's and I thought those couldn't be topped for ineptness. Seems a Lamps for Potter switch made little or no difference.
