May 2, 20233 yr You know the thing that makes me most angry/sad about this season is that I no longer look forward to the games. Chelsea have actually made me not care about watching Chelsea. This is a first for me, in all the years I’ve supported them (since the early 80s). Yeah we’ve been sh*t before but we knew we were sh*t and had the budget to show for it. but those teams would play with more passion, provide more entertainment (on occasion) than this sorry bunch who gave up months ago. I will of course tune in tonight but it will be out of hope, rather than expectation, that they put in a display worthy of the shirt. Chelsea is usually the thing you look forward to in your week, to break up the monotony of every day life. Right now it is actually more enjoyable when they’re not in action (as has been the case the last two weekends) because you get a break from the disappointment and feeling of being let down time and time again.
May 2, 20233 yr I am actually looking forward to this game, as weird as that may seem. I am hopelessly optimistic tbh. I have that odd feeling that we can upset the apple cart tonight. We need some points and Arsenal need the win, yet we go there and get a positive result against them. Again, I'm being hopelessly optimistic, but for some odd reason I'm a little excited for this game more than any other in recent months, apart from the Dortmund game at home. One thing I will say is the team should pretty much pick itself. Lampard can't overthink this and just pick the best side possible to create chances against Arsenal, don't sit back and allow them to put the pressure on. Go out there with the intent to create chances and aim to score goals, f**k this overly defensive setup.
May 2, 20233 yr I don’t know what to do about watching it I can handle them beating us when they are in 6/7th but with the title on the line if we don’t show up I am done with these players. Losing at the lane is one thing, helping Arsenal to the title is unforgivable!!! This isn’t about the manager now it’s about the the 11 on the field.
May 2, 20233 yr The odds for Arsenal to beat us is shockingly low. Seems the bookies think this is a four gone conclusion… any more motivation needed on top of that this is a London derby and winning this virtually ends their title chances.
May 2, 20233 yr I've predicted 3-1 to the Arse, do you think I'm being overoptimistic predicting that Chelsea will score one ? Hope not, the silver lining is that if they do leather us later on, we wouldn't have handed them the title

May 2, 20233 yr I like how Frank mentioned DD Fofana by name in his presser, but the kid doesn't ever make his bench. He at least acknowledged his existence, though. Baby steps.
May 2, 20233 yr I like that Madueke and Auba are starting. It's one of the better lineups we could have put out. Madueke must be showing something in training to get into the starting 11. I hope he cooks tonight, like prime Robben esque performance lol. Not a lot to ask for is it ha.
May 2, 20233 yr Looks like a straight 4-3-3 to me? Kind of scared for Dave having to deal with Martinelli with less cover. Sterling getting starts is baffling though. One could and should argue that Mudryk has done enough lately to warrant a run in the team. Also weird to just throw Madueke in for no apparent reason.
