It's going to take a whole season for a few 100m signings to get used to each other and to make a team. Sarri made it work in 3 months, Tuchel made a team of what was there after 3 training sessions. Poch has the excuse of having too many young players but everything has a time limit and I believe we'll keep spending in January so if things don't work out, tons of players that we signed for a big fee will get to see their value diminish a lot.

If you say Sarri need 3 months then you basically say  sarri is an amateur 😭😭😭

If I remember it right it took Conte half a season to change formation and to win the league didn't it? It's always harder to make a team play how you want them to play when you come into a squad that has been playing completely differently for quite a lot of time. Meaning, to make a team go out there and play with almost a whole new tactical approach and mindset in a few months time, and to get something out of it well... For someone working in the PL for the first time it's not that bad at all.

Oh you mean you expected us to compete for the second place, while Liverpool had both Salah and Mané scoring 20+ goals each and winning the CL that year?! Don't make me laugh, we were so far behind those two clubs, but Sarri made us the best of the rest.

21 wins, 9 draws, 8 losses. While playing 4-3-3. Yeap, with that squad having to rely on Kepa, D.Luiz, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso and Dave. Part from Dave, all known to lose their bottle... Oh and Jorginho too, the man that can't defend so that's 1,2,3... at least 5 players there totally out of their depth for anything serious in this league defensively speaking... And yet 39 goals conceded only, a good manager's touch isn't it?

That record of 21/9/8 is comparable to Tuchel's only full season of 2021/22 where Tuchel's record was 21/11/6, even there you can see that Tuchel is a better manager but you see it's the same number of wins. Oh but it's all, everything is because of Hazard.

Yes he was amazing but compare his effort from the season prior and you clearly see that Hazard played so much better under Sarri that it's almost not even comparable, fact is Hazard played his best season ever, under Sarri, so to conclude, a manager made to take care of world class players.

Man City won the league and the League Cup, Liverpool won the CL.
We were 3rd, played the League Cup final and won the Europa League.

Understand that we won almost everything we were capable of that season, we could have won the League Cup but we lost on penalties and that's it, teams above us won everything else. But you expected more... Sure you did.

Here's Sarri the amateur in 2023, qualified for the knockouts of the CL while gaining more money from selling players than spending money on transfers, if you know you know.

We are immature, petulent, inconsistent, and dreadfully poor on defensive set pieces. However - we score goals, we are aggressive and they aren’t afraid of a fight. A big step up from the shameful scenes last season, where our players were singles out and bullied  without getting any backing from teammates

Have to start somewhere from the lows of last season 

Last season we lose this match easily 4 or 5 to Brighton so even though we still no where near where we should be we are gaining confidence with these results win lose or draw we are getting young players experience on how to handle different situations

Still need to work on our ability to score goals from outfield play. All 4 of our goals in the last 2 games are from set plays, and Pope/Steele had little saves to make.

Poch and the players need to learn to control and manage games better. At 2-0, they just need to see the first half out and not give away a sloppy goal.

47 yellows in 14 games... compare that to Arsenal... only 18 yellows in 14 games.

This needs fixing asap. We can't expect to finish in the top half of the table with stats like these.

If he figured his midfield out a lot would fall in place I think.

He's not at all getting the most out of the Caicedo & Enzo pairing or any other pairing for that sake. Some proper dominant midfield performances collectively would go a long way in increasing my hopes of Poch having a good future here but we have yet to see it really.

That is fixed by scoring. We score and we don't have to run around like rabid dogs all game long and make potentially dangerous tackles trying to win the ball back asap. When we win constantly we don't have to fear of losing and trying a little bit too hard that usually leads to rash challenges and red cards.

I mean just look at this forum some of the abuse current and past players get so I don’t expect less at the bridge. Social media normally spills over to the grounds and these same fans who wanted quick attacking football complain when the manager tries to implement it. Guess what you can’t have that while pumping the ball up field, you have to build from the back.

There isn’t a team that doesn’t try build from the back even Luton does it.

Some people are permanently traumatized after Sarri and blame him for the possession based game when in reality like El Regreso mentioned, even the bottom half clubs are trying to implement a pressing game and building out from the back.

Poch is just missing this little part of controlling matches and taking it slow, Tuchel was really great at that, we could shift the area of play to the opposition half fast and keep control. We seem to have this way of either being heavily pressed or either being heavily invested in our attack but it's a good thing that our attacks end in chances, in corners, in shots.
