Should probably go to bed before you make a 2nd post about how upset you are that we've won a game 3-1 away from home.

All he did was giving Palmer the freedom he needed. 

Honestly, without Palmer we wouldn't win tonight. Individual play that created the second goal and third goal, fast counter attack. Enzo's finish is also an individual quality.

Tactically we're still sh*t, I don't know what to expect against City.

Hopefully tonight will make Poch realise no more Palmer false 9 crap.

So disappointing to play like that after the Villa performance. We reverted straight back to type just a few days later. Winning against a Palace team with their best players out was the minimum we should have gotten tonight and we achieved that, but the performance was really poor.

Well listening to Conor Poch clearly didn’t ask them to play slow and it seems the players reverted to old habits and Poch demanded them to move the ball quicker second half and put another striker on to stretch the play which worked.

Then what is wrong with these players? When is it going to get through to them that they must play with tempo in every game?

Hope I'm wrong but I just see the result as papering over the cracks. We're treading water for the rest of the season with mainly rubbish performances alongside some bright moments like tonight and Villa. I don't see us progressing to where we want to be under pochettino.

People talk about playing for certain clubs with prestige well as much as rival fans hate to admit it playing for Chelsea is HUGE and I think it’s taking time for these young players to adjust to the weight of being a Chelsea player.

I think we may not realise how frighten it might be for these young lads and they do the safe thing which is pass safe, pass around the back.

Its the mentality of “ I don’t want to make a mistake “ !!

This is where we needed experience to help them be brave and the manager probably tells them to be brave but they just can’t help it.

I think over time we will see them become confident and free.

It also doesn’t help that they get abused constantly by their own fans on social media.

This is why I always maintain that I will support every player who wears the badge no matter how poor they are until they disrespect it ala Lukaku

It’s not EASY playing for a massive club like US.

Now listening to Poch he clearly wasn’t happy and this was the players being sh*te and frighten and he made the tactical change and shot a rocket up their Ass!!!

You can scream, train and explain to these players but nothing will change

We have a cb who is afraid of getting done behind so he always hold the ball  and drop the line. 

We have a very inconsistent winger who keep losing the ball. 

 

 

 

 

 

Although more stressful, I have no issue with late winners. All the big teams do this, and we’ve got to be in a better habit of scoring late on when needed.

I’m half and half with Poch. I get what you’re saying but the guy hasn’t had the opportunity to play anything close to his best team. The most settled part of the team is midfield with Enzo, Caicedo and Conor but every other position in the team has been chopped and changed through injury. Some for the better but until we can get a settled team on the park he can’t be judged as harshly as some on here view him. 
I do think however that he’s still underperformed with what he’s Chad to pick from.

So Conor and Enzo score in consecutive matches.

Gusto's crossing a big part of that success too.

I don't see us beating City this time yet Liverpool at Wembley might be our day.

No credit at all after he completely ballsed up the first half, reverting back to the failed way of playing, splitting the midfield after seeing how well it had worked v Villa.

 

Yesterday was really poor. Had Palace had Eze or Olise available and one of them replaced Franca they would almost certainly have beat us and CP have looked like the worst team in the league for months.

Also made it pretty clear that the good Villa performance was an outlier and not the start of something. Pochettino is limping along and overtime goals have saved his job so far but this isn't exactly sustainable and City and Liverpool will easily turn us over on yesterdays showing meaning the season will effectively be over in two weeks unless we suddenly get a lot better.

In the recent years even when we have struggled, the team used to be able to play significantly better against the best possible opponents but even so we lost the cup final a few times so this is a massive opportunity, more important for us than for Liverpool to win it.

What are the things that "Pochettino does really well"? Because I'm struggling to see anything in which he stands out as a manager. He's not the worse, but certainly hasn't proven to be a top manager and we haven't improved much since he took over (other than some games here and there in which we were really good, like Arsenal, Liverpool, City at home or Villa in the FA Cup).

Also apart from Villa we didn't even win the games.

Set your expectations accordingly.

City and Pool are finished articles with World Class managers. 

If we get the same level of attitude, performance and tactical discipline we saw at Villa in these two games, regardless of the results, I will be happy.

As much as I want to win those games the minimum I'm looking for is that we belong, that game a couple of weeks back against Liverpool it looked like we were in a lower league. If we can show we can give these a game then I'll see it as progress. If Poch can't hang with these two tactically then he has to go and we need to find someone in the summer who can.

First of all he's using his players better and better, we have seen Gallagher scoring goals now which he is very much capable of doing as he has shown this ability while he was on loan and it's great to see him going forward as this is his natural game and not just to cover holes and win back possession?

Secondly, Poch is using Palmer in a really cool way, this could make him a future international star for the national team since Poch could make Kane grow into a very smart player already so Palmer might have found a perfect manager for him?

For the tactical part I do believe that we play faster and it looks like Poch tries to let his players have more space in attack in comparison to Tuchel that had a more static front line and playing Jackson more wide and managing to make Gusto a starter is showing a strong will to make all of the puzzle pieces work despite the injuries?
