January 26, 20242 yr Wow... Didn't see that coming. Liverpool fans will be in meltdown. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68104699
January 26, 20242 yr This is great news! Like all decent opposition managers, Klopp is one you can't but help admire. Fergie, Wenger, Pep................might not like them but you have to admire them. At times he behaves like a complete Bellend - especially on the touchline or when he's interviewed and he gets all arsey. At times like that, you'd like to see someone give him a slap. But he is a top, top coach and more often than not, talks a lot of sense and is very passionate and this is going to hurt the dippers a hell of a lot, which can only be a good thing. Nothing lasts forever. Bet City fans are already dreading the day Pep walks.

January 26, 20242 yr Wow, crazy news. Liverpool fans rightly in meltdown. General opinion seems to be Alonso, but surely its a year or two early for such a big leap. Its not a guarenteed win by any means. But other than Alonso, there aren't any easy wins either as far as I can see, which also makes you wonder if any other clubs interested might move early to jump ahead (Talk of bayern already unsure of TT)
January 26, 20242 yr Big ask, but I think Bruno Saltor is the perfect replacement. Good luck to him. I dare admit this on this forum, but I love Klopp. I'd love to have a pint or 3 with him and I wanted him at Chelsea soooo badly when he was available.
January 26, 20242 yr Don't like him, in the same way no doubt they don't like Jose, but I respect what he has done. Top top coach, massive loss for them.
January 26, 20242 yr After looking in the dustbin for something to eat Liverpool find the replacement for Klopp. Edited January 26, 20242 yr by Boyne

No idea of Alonso is the real deal or another Villas Boas. Alonso should really stick out another year at Bayer. Get some Champions League experience too.

Good stepping stone to Real Madrid.
January 26, 20242 yr Xabi Alonso doing well this year, but longer term will he turn out to be a "Mourinho" or a "Vilas Boas" ? If he takes the Liverpool job, hopefully the latter ! Can't say I'll be disappointed to see Klopp leaving Liverpool. Hopefully that will disrupt them big time LOL ... the perfect storm of the manager leaving and Van Dijk/Salah declining with age.
January 26, 20242 yr Klopp is a gurnie c**t. Good manager but I detest him. Wish a 4th official would loose it someday and give him a good slap. Trust him not to be able to bow out quietly at the end of the season. OH No not Klopp, let make the rest of the season about him and liverscum. Todays first story on the news (yes the main BBC national news) was about this prick and his pricky team. Klopp just f**k off!!!!
January 26, 20242 yr Todd has probably already got him signed up on a 7-8 year deal starting next year. Im not surprised he is tired, must be frustrating for him working on a modest budget trying to compete with the bigger teams. Plus he probably cant wait to get away from that wasteland. A part of me wonders if part of the reason he is leaving is because he doesn’t want to go through the rebuilding process. He hasn’t struck gold with Diaz, Nunez & Gakpo. Salah and Van Dijk would also need to be replaced probably as early as next season. I won’t be surprised if Pep hangs it up end of next season probably for the same reasons. He needs to replace De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, and his recent signings Kovacic, Nunes and Grealish have been underwhelming.
January 27, 20242 yr Great manager, and achieved everything he could with them. Liverpool fans will rightfully be devastated. He's irreplaceable. I suspect Alonso will be his successor.
January 27, 20242 yr My first thought is that cup final will be a lot harder, now it's a huge part of the Klopp farewell tour. Good news for Poch, whoever will potentially be replacing him will be contesting the Liverpool job. We aren't really competing with them apart from the cup, think there's more pressure on Liverpool to win the title now, which should have been on City until this.
January 27, 20242 yr The daft cultists losing their sh*t over this is hilarious, claiming hes the best prem manager ever (1 title), hes changed them as a person, in actual real mourning over this 😅 Theyre such a bunch of try hard weirdos. Edited January 27, 20242 yr by dkw
