Jurgen Klopp's Netflix Reds v Chelsea (League Cup Final) Sun 25th February 2024 15:00 GMT

This is the first time in my life I’ve contemplated not watching the remainder of the matches.

It won’t happen, but I’ve never even given it a thought before.

I’m exhausted, honestly.

Look on the bright side.  Reeve James didn't pick up an injury.

We have so many players not remotely equipped to challenge for a top 6 finish let alone top four. With the threat of FFP hanging over us and the money we have invested on them we are truly snookered for a number of seasons.

In the old days of football we'd be planning for a summer getting rid of a stack of them  starting with Mudryk, Sterling, Jackson and  Caciedo.

Average players but we lost against an inexperienced pool side. Surely this is on the manager?

Finishing was so bad and our 200m midfield failed to dominate.

Only the drunk Todd and waster Eghbali rate Enzo-Caicedo as worth 220 mill. Decisions that have set us back by years.

There's nothing to get excited about in the Chelsea side, you can't get excited about a side that won't finish even the most gilt edges chances and will concede out of nothing.

Even when we do score it feels like extreme luck more than anything to do with our play.

What an opportunity missed. Game was there for the taking and then we ................I don't actually know what we dit but we handed the f**king trophy to the rat munchers. Bunch of Bottlers.

Only silver lining was not having to sit through penalties as you know either Mudryk, Gusto or Enzo would have missed - probably all three of them.

Depressing, I can't believe I'm saying this but part of me didn't want to get in the Cup Final because I knew another defeat to that lot would sicken me to my stomach. That's how pathetic its come, bunch of bottlers, 6 cup finals lost in a row, beyond a f**king joke that is.

Knew we'd lose it one way or another after those missed chances in the last 15 minutes of regular time. For so called pro footballers to miss those chances... I don't know, it really is embarrassing.

It is truly a f**king joke to lose against this Liverpool lineup. Utter embarrassment. Can't believe we did not even score. Absolute shambles.

Spurs, Villa, Brighton would have put at least 3 past this lot today. Nevermind City or Arsenal.

James/Gusto, Disasi, Colwill, Chilwell and Enzo & Caicedo in the pivot is a solid base for a new manager to build on and sort the mess up front. Clearly Pochettino has no idea.

What a f**king mess.

I hope Gallagher's fans had a great match.

Should have scored but at least he was there to try and score, + made more of an impact than Enzo and Caidedo - the so called super stars. Caicedo becomming one of the worst signings in our clubs history.

Kind of knew it wasn’t going to be our day after missing the host of chances late on. Would have to agree with Neville that it was a bit of a bottle job. Didn’t show up at all in extra time.

You won't miss much. We'll probably finish between 10-12, a bunch of players will leave and Todd's data scientists will sign some obscure players from the Algerian league for 80 mill on 8 year contracts and the fans will again debate that this is a team in transition being built for the next decade and mediocrity is acceptable now while a glorious future awaits.

I disagree. Caciedo and Enzo is far from a solid base. I've seen more solidity leave my arse after a prawn vindaloo and 10 pints.

They offer f**k all protection to a back four.  It's like a parting of the waves when teams come at us through the centre of the pitch

"the blue billion pound bottle jobs.

"Liverpool have been absolutely sensational. Those young players have been incredible. Klopp must be so proud.

"However, for Chelsea, I have no sympathy for them whatsoever. Mauricio Pochettino's players have shrunk. They have shrunk right in front of our eyes and in front of their fans."

Gary Neville bang on via Sky Sports.

6 out of 6 lost domestic finals, a new record in England.

Spursy.

Takes an impressive level of stupidity to target Chalobah after that.

Results speak higher than words…Chalobah was directly the cause of the corner that scored for liverfool
