I would start him too, but expect he will probably make an appearance from the bench. Wouldn't wait for us to go behind though. If say 0-0 at HT, throw him on. Could achieve Legend status already if he were to come on and score the goal which gets us CL football next season.

I'm surprised Guiu didn't get more game time when he was fit. Only natural striker (instincts, movement, finishing) in the squad, with terrific work rate as an added bonus.

In a scenario where if we do get Gyokeres, wouldn't mind having Guiu as a backup and offloading Jackson.

If we go behind we are done. Forest know how to defend a lead.

Is he actually back and ready to play then? He's been out for a while, so will need to add some rust onto that!

No way he starts. He might get 20-30 mins in the second half, but it's too soon to start him.

Unlucky to get injured when he did. If he hadn't, I am sure he would have started tonight.

Hope he gets a squad shirt for next season ahead of Jackson, and stays injury free.

Championship loan. For what we bought him for i imagine this will be one of the easy profit flips in a year or two.

Championship loan? If I were him I would just ask for a transfer back to Spain. Even if it’s a Levante type bottom of the table La Liga team. Pretty obvious he will just end up in a cycle of pointless loan moves till he can be sold for a reasonable profit.

Some of our best players have came back to us off the back of Championship loans. A season at Ipswich scoring 15-20 goals will do him the world of good.

I actually think Championship is the right type of League for Guiu. You would think Marc is a Brit the way he plays football. But there is no guarantee in any loan deal. Maybe Frankie takes him under his wing.

Ipswich on loan is the go. They should, barring catastrophes, comfortably top the Championship this season giving him ample opportunities.

Coventry would be a great loan for him surprised Frank Lampard hasn’t snapped up any loan deals of us yet

Hopefully Sunderland actually put up a fight and don't end up being everyone's whipping boy.

All reports have been that we want him to stay and that Jackson doesn't want to leave, unless someone matches our £80m evaluation. There have been no indicators that Jackson is leaving.

Absolutely the right thing for him. He is nowhere near ready to play regularly for Chelsea and would only get any credible quantity of game time if we were struck down with an injury crisis you could slap stubble on it and and call it Jack Wilshere.

Hopefully gets at least 15 games for Sunderland and shows enough to convince folk he has a future at the top level.

I think it’s a fantastic loan and opportunity for him. I’m happy there isn’t a buy option.

Sounds like he’ll get a decent amount of minutes.
