November 9, 2025Nov 9 Just offers more of a threat than Delap. Happy to be following up every shot rather than trying to fight CB’s.
November 9, 2025Nov 9 Being blunt, so far, neither Guiu or Delap have offered anything more than Jackson did. The saving grace for them being that neither have remotely had the game time Jackson did so its far too early to say they aren't an improvement on him.

Guiu is an average footballer with elite movement and reactions. Delap is average all around with a bad attitude. Jackson was and is our best 9 since Costa.
November 9, 2025Nov 9 Elite footballer, you just wrote that to prod @nonotnowjim didn't you.On that basis Robert Maxwell was an elite swimmer.
November 9, 2025Nov 9 If you get into goalscoring positions, he's got to start putting the tap-ins away, he was three yards out yesterday and conspired to nearly miss the ball. I like his movements and runs, timing... but he's got to start burying chances... Seriously.
November 9, 2025Nov 9 I totally agree!!! Definitely needs to improve in front of goal. It's frustrating for us! 😭

November 10, 2025Nov 10 Estevao has shown immediately in limited game time that he is a great footballer and can make an impact in games. These two have shown next to nothing between them. Delap runs around like a headless chicken crashing into people and Guiu hasn’t shown anything apart from a lack of a finishers instinct. But hey, let’s put them in the pile with Mudryk, Gittens and all the others that we’ll just wait until they’re in the late thirties and still be saying they just need a longer run of games and some confidence.

Both are better footballers than the fraud

But you also advocate for a the slow football we play - so perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised. Some things are true in life…1) we should stop passing it 5000 times between our cbs and move the ball faster.2) Jackson is rubbish - and can’t even get a start in the German farmers league.

November 22, 2025Nov 22 Deserves a start against the lower teams to build confidence and gel with the teamStarts ahead of Delap for me

But you need intelligence to alongside it, and Guiu had far more intelligence when he used his strength. Guiu just needs to work on getting shooting opportunities, it's an absolute must if he ever hopes to be a success at any level as a striker.
November 22, 2025Nov 22 Really good inteligent play for that 2nd goal, we need more of that from our number 9's, creating something out of nothing.
November 23, 2025Nov 23 He starts ahead of Delap, but I would welcome Joao Pedro as first choice if he can find some of that early form again.
November 23, 2025Nov 23 Don’t think there’s much between him and Delap, and for that reason I’d be prioritising giving minutes to Guiu. Potential to develop into a very good player.
December 4, 2025Dec 4 Quite obvious now that Joao Pedro and Delap aren't the right stuff, so maybe it is time to give Marc Guiu a run in the team ?Or alternatively buy Osimhen in January LOL
December 4, 2025Dec 4 He should get a start. I think he's not the fully developed player we need, as in he won't score for fun, but his hold up play is good and he is good bringing others into play. He's certainly better in that than Delap. And he works his socks off, more than JP. Deserves a start against Bournemouth or maybe Atalanta.

December 4, 2025Dec 4 He wouldn’t get in Sunderland’s team so what makes you think he’s good enough to start for us should be on loan in championship
