He had a release clause of £40+ million but Villareal were happy to sell him for £26 m. What does that tell you?

Don't get me wrong we need some other option than Sanchez but I get the impression this guy is a bum.

That a release clause are not necessarily a clubs minimum required fee, but rather a way press the buying club

What does Jorgensen look like in comparison to Lunin and Mamardashvili on one of these charts ?

Very hard to believe when they have done such a piss poor job of that so far.

What view is this? I'm on the FBRef site and have done a comparison across a group of keepers that have been mentioned in relation to us and Valles seems to beat Jorgensen on almost all metrics ( except age ). I'd like to do a straight 1 v1 on this map basis. Can somebody tell me the selection please?

This looks done for Jorgensen. Virtually there. Uninspiring again unfortunately, a pattern this summer.

Didn't we all moan about Kepa's lack of height and aerial presence at 1.88m. Apparently this guy is 1.90m. So i can see see Sanchez being No. 1 simply on aerial command, providing he can keep his brainf*rts to a minimum this season. But it looks like this position could well continue to be the pebble in our shoe this coming year as well.

1.9 metres is not short (6' 4").  It's probably around premier league average. Reading about it wingspan is more important than height although I guess both matter.

Wonder if that long pass completion percentage his been a big one (bloody hell I can't believe ive typed that on a GK thread). Seen a few murmurs online that we want a keeper who can switch it up if we're struggling to play through the press and go a bit longer. No idea on the stats but the eye test suggests its something that Sanchez really struggles with.

To be fair to Sanchez, it's not exactly easy to go long when you consider the lack of height in our midifield and forwards. Nico did pretty well latching onto mortar shells last season but he's hardly a targetman.

All of his long passes went out of play.

This notion he is good with the ball bewilders me.
