11 hours ago11 hr Too good to be true, no doubt either in January or next summer, we’ll be taking someone off their hands for above market value.

10 hours ago10 hr Author I have to give credit for this. Getting 45mill plus 5mill add ons given just how dreadful Delap was for us is excellent work by whoever got the deal agreed.
10 hours ago10 hr What a deal!I’d hope the owners will supply free rohypnol to those that want to permanently erase his time at the club.Good luck to the lad.
8 hours ago8 hr Our ability to sell players has to be studied. I DO think Liam can develop into a decdet CF, but we have no business getting that kind of money for him.
7 hours ago7 hr I see that Sky are up to their usual Chelsea tricks.I have seen various reports/rumours/gossip that the deal is £45m up front with £5m of add ons.Sky doing their bit reporting it as a £45m deal, cos we are selling, but when we are buying a la Mudryk, every conceivable bonus and add on is roped in. Chelsea pay an eye watering £88m for Mudryk. Er, no we didn't. We paid £62m up front (yeah, I know, say no more).

Some suggestions that we might have agreed a reciprocal deal to take one of forest's players in return.

Presumably this would have to be a winter window deal cos of this 45 day rule., if true.
7 hours ago7 hr Delap proves that fees and cost are relative at this level—was he really cheap? Considering the time and a squad slot wasted on him, he turned out to be pretty expensive.

Opportunity cost is a big thing too - yeah we sold him at a big profit, but his poor form on the pitch cost us CL and league revenue, and in choosing him we passed over other strikers.
7 hours ago7 hr This days it is hard to asses player real number because everyone is playing psr/FFP game. But there is a clear trend of big fee for player with smaller wages.
6 hours ago6 hr Good luck to him. Hope he rediscovers some of his Ipswich form at Forrest, particularly against our rivals.
5 hours ago5 hr While not discounting the possibilities of shenanigans and future expectations with this lot, some of this reflects that the 30 mn pounds we paid was a relegation release clause. Apparently some sell on due to Ipswich too? I hoped he could be good for us but didn’t work out at all. Way more adept at wrestling than scoring and then fell into a tailspin with us. Best of luck for the future. One down, some ten to go??

Apparently some sell on due to Ipswich too?Yes, but that's why at least four clubs (Everton, Newcastle, Man U and us) were interested, he was a perfect 'market opportunity'. If he even did moderately well he would have been profitable given he is young and English. He completely bombed with us so getting our money back is a minor miracle, although I expect a fair chunk will be going to Ipswich.
