Brilliant, 1-5, but the complacency and cynicism from those watching really takes the gloss off. I really think we should try harder, maybe even try to have some respect for what our players and staff do. Best way to do that is to stop watching the game from behind your sofas (figuratively and metaphorically).

Grow a pair ya feeble minded wallies. lol. 😇😂

But surely you can agree that Dewsbury-Hall's sock length was a disgrace?

I think we need to the opinion of the sock experts @Valerie @Munkunku

Ah, a straight forward cultural matter within the club. Hang the bastard!

Still producing but generally speaking Palmer has been way worse in general play this season compared to last. Littlebit worrisome tbh.

I noticed that too! He's giving away possession a lot more and his dribbles and turns are coming off a lot worse than last season. Still has an even better g/a ratio than last season although he's getting way fewer pens and is always capable of producing moments of genius, so it's criticism on a high level, but there's still been a significant drop off in his general play.

That’s what Noni should be doing

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has lashed out at Noni Madueke, despite the fact the Blues winger bagged a goal during his side’s 5-1 thrashing of Southampton on Wednesday evening. Madueke returned to the starting line-up and netted his side’s third goal of the evening as the west London giants ran riot on the south coast.

But the 22-year-old was guilty of missing a string of chances in the second half when his team were well out of sight.

And he was replaced by Jadon Sancho midway through the second period, with the Manchester United loanee adding the final goal of the night.

“Noni can do much more,” Maresca explained after the match. “When he scores and assists and is happy, he starts to drop a little bit. The reason he was not playing is because of the way he was training. When he scores one, he needs to keep trying to score and assist. Noni needs to understand he has to work more and he can be much, much, much better.”

Bloody hell mate, there's romanticism and then there's the first step before running to get your wallet when the life insurance man comes to the door.

60 in 2 weeks time. I would have taken that if offered it 40 years ago during my "lost weekend".

By the way, my brothers and I will be at the Rovers game - in the Rovers end!

Indeed. Felix is guilty of the same. Have the drive to become better, or lose you spot, as Noni have done.

59.999... and still more handsome than @loz! That lost weekend sounds like a longer story I would very much like to hear. Maybe at the next Shed End pissup?

@Valerie If you have any annual leave/air miles left, this seems like useful information.

Up to 2nd on goal difference. Very impressed with the performance and our recent run of form.

Anyone starting to believe that we're contenders or still too early ?

Not this season, no. There's bags of talent in this squad (probably the squad with the highest ceiling of all the clubs in the PL), but little to no experience at all, which Liverpool, Arsenal and City have in abundance.

I actually agree with this.

When he scored his hattrick at Wolves he disappeared for weeks.

He has the potential to be a top player, but slowing right down during matches and playing half-arsed 5 yard passes when he's giving full backs nightmares isn't gonna get him to that level.

Team was sloppy enough in spells during the game , despite never being in doubt of winning. Don’t think it’s a bad thing the manager is having a go at them, hopefully they’ll have a point to prove on Sunday.

unlikely but not impossible given that City are having a major wobble. Win on Sunday and I think it’s fair enough to say we are semi serious contenders, particularly with the run of fixtures after that.

Oh when the saints, oh when the saints go marching out. . .

Disasi proving how a CB should score from a corner. Wes and Levi take note.

The team had a good energy and spirit about them. That could easily have 9 or 10 or more. Nice performance.

100% I saw it today he stopped tracking back and was complacent so many times. Neto and Sancho should be our starting wingers.
