Enzo Maresca's Management career - 145 Games, 91 Wins, 62.8% win rate. Worked as an assistant to Pep at City, won Leicester promotion in his first season, won a Champions League qualification (the first time since Tuchel) and 2 trophies for Chelsea in his first season; the first Silverware since Tuchel's Club World Cup.

Liam Rosenior's Management career - 153 Games, 65 Wins, 42.5% win rate. Sacked by Hull City, worked as an assistant to Wayne Rooney at Derby, won a Coffee cup in the British Legion RNLI charity.

It's a complete downgrade by a landslide.

You're having a bubble @Mod !!!

Maresca's win percentage is only high due to the clubs he has managed - CFC with a billion pound squad and Leicester, where he inherited a PL squad who were favourites to go straight back up (and he nearly f**ked it up and Leicester supporters were glad to see the back of him).

Rosenoir is hardly going to have a high percentage managing Hull & Strasbourg!

Fact is, NEITHER are worthy to be CFC manager, but it's where we are with this current regime.

100% agree, we should still be with Tuchel or similar calibre, but as you say, the current regime! No chance anyone of that level will be at that club as long as Clownlake run the show!

In theory, if Liam is that good, he should have a better win rate because he's in easier leagues.

Under Enzo, boring football, questionable subs, stifling Cole Palmer; but in comparison to Liam, it's night and day! One just chose no longer to be the board gimp, while the other is made for it!

Conveniently forgetting Maresca getting sacked by Parma with a 28% win percentage.

Having the most expensive championship squad ever assembled with Leicester and still almost bottled the league on the last matchday and their fans were happy to see him go.

Failed to win the conference league unbeaten, something West Ham managed to do first time of asking. Scraped top 4 on the last day due to other teams dropping points (thank god Nuno's Forest capitulated).

Parma isn't Hull City (they play Serie A), plus he learnt a lot of tools from Pep after that! Meanwhile, Liam learnt his tools from Wayne Rooney!

You can cherry-pick games, but stats and silverware don't lie; Maresca is streets ahead of Liam overall (as it stands), I have a feeling that isn't likely to change!

I can't grasp why it's even a debate.

Can everybody call him by any other name but his first? I get so confused when I see his first name being used. On this forum there's only one @Liam , all the rest are frauds who are underwhelming on top of everything else.

Enzo’s Chelsea stats are skewed because of the Conference League. Take that out and his win % would drop dramatically. I’d wager you could have prime Jose at Hull and Strasbourg when LR was in charge, and say Ranieri at Chelsea and Leicester (Enzo’s team) and Ranieri’s stats would be better as he would be at better clubs in their respective leagues. We all know that Jose is better, but your rationale would say Ranieri. For the avoidance of doubt, I hate both, LR and Enzo with their anti football….

Just to add, personally I do think it is a downgrade as I am getting Potter vibes, but stats can be spun to mislead, that’s the point I’m trying to make….

March is brutal, April the same, and May is tricky too. He's going to need to get us maximum points from now up until we face Arsenal if we're going to qualify for the Champions League. If we don't win these games, then I can't see us doing it, not when we have to play Arsenal, Villa, Newcastle, City, United, Brighton, Liverpool and Tottenham so close together.

Liam Rosenior is still giving those AVB vibes to me.

I already gave up on the season tbh, Liam has that AVB/Potter vibes

I'm going to reserve judgement, Potter's results at the start were good too despite us being sh*te for most of it and so far we haven't exactly been playing well, but it's very early days and I'm just happy we're getting results.

I think his tweak of asking Santos to be the 3rd CB in transition was crucial.. under maresca he would have been much higher up and not defencing the box.. we would have conceded atleast 2-3 with Enzo against a team like palace.

Maresca saying Santos was Enzo's back up as a box crasher was a big enough red flag to make me realise he was a bottom tier manager. His inability to see a players strengths rather than be blinded by his rigid system was painful. Pretty much every player except Cucurella regressed because of him.

But can Maresca drink as much as Rooney? Liam has already gone pint to pint and survived in management...
