Gittens - like anew signing. Good performance

Hato - ditto. Great goal.

Badders - I don’t want to hate but he’s simply not good enough. Needs to be sold in the summer.

Centre back positions needs completely revamping. I would actually sell the lot bar Colwill.

Buy Schlotterbeck and Guehi, and then put some trust in Josh and either Sarr or Anselmino.

The rest arent good enough, had loads of opportunities to prove otherwise, excelt for Fofana, who is made of paper, and is probaby closer to getting sent to prison for deiving offences, than he his playing 3 games a week.

Pleasantly surprised with 5 goals tonight and only one conceded considering the choice of CBs.

Charlton not really a big test and a win was expected but once I saw the team the expectation turned to fear.

At least there were no silly subs, Hato got a decent run out, has Gittens found his level or has the change of manager given him a new lease of life?

Bad as Delap has looked it was a nice little touch on for steveo to win the dubious penalty.

Under Maresca we seemed better against better team and clueless against teams that we expect to beat, let's hope we haven't swapped the two and can build on this.

Trouble after game after being kettled by old bill. Pushing from the crowd because no communication as to what was happening. Apparently being kept back for our own safety. Don’t think anyone would have tried with the size of our following.I’m sure there will be loads of footage posted online

Respectable result for LR first game if not to be expected. Better player resources overcame their resistance and the 2nd half was an enjoyable cup game. Never any doubt after the KO whistle blew.

A sterner test awaits next game, that I feel will show us more of what this young upcoming 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 DEI coach is made of.

Good HT team talk ?

You know what Roaeniors go to is? Watch some training videos pre Chelsea, and last week.

“Details, details, DETAILS LADS”

Way too early to take anything from that. But played well second half and given results during the day, good to comfortably beat a team we should be beating even with a weaker first 11.

You forgot to mention that the goal was inconsequential and didn't count because the game was already won.

Maresca managed to make league one Lincoln look like a difficult win so good to see the players so comfortable last night. I think the midfield base of Caicedo and Andrey is the game changer, the fluidity and ease to play out from the back was amazing to see.

Very true, thank you for reminding me. Also against Championship opposition, which is about his level too.

An easy game for Rosenior to start off with, but a good result nonetheless.

Been a long time since we played at the Valley, so playing Charlton reminded me a bit of the early to mid 2000s.

It might be our age/generation but Charlton feels like a "proper" EPL club, as opposed to Brighton, Brentford etc.

9 times out of 10 the defender blocks the piss weak shot and his open team mates are left screaming in disbelief

Sunderland being back in the Prem feels right. We need to just relegate the likes of Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth etc. and bring back Middlesbrough, West Brom and Bolton

And also, he'd only been on the pitch 5' whereas the guy he turned so easily, Gough, having played 90' was clearly knackered.... dunno what their goalie was doing either!

STILL A LOT OF MARESCAS OLD TRAITS SURVIVED (hopefully Rosenior knocks this out of them as soon as possible)

I.E - THE ANNOYING BADIESHILLE/TOSIN STANDING ON THE BALL WAITING FOR A PLAYER FROM THE OPPOSITION TO COME AND TRY AND GET THE BALL, THIS ALLOWS THE OPPOSITION TO GET ALL PLAYERS BEHIND THE BALL

STILL LIKE TO PASS IT BETWEEN THE DEFENDERS WHEN THE BALL SHOULD BE MOVED QUICKER AND FORWARD, THERE WAS LOADS OF TIMES WHERE WINGERS WERE OPEN BUT THE BALL GOES BACKWARDS

Is DEI the political equivalent of The Shed End Bellend Inclusion policy?
