See in some reports Willian was MOTM yesterday and noticed he put in a great cross for one of Fulham's goals.

Probably not too many of those ahead as he slips back to normal service yet will be interesting to see how it transpires.

Yes, should have kept Giroud instead of 100M on that guy, only if we could roll the time back. He'd be a great fit in this team, plenty of experience, good finisher, hold the ball up in the box, and feed on crosses. Like the goal last night, he didn't need the speed of Werner, just the awareness and timing to get into the box to meet the cross.

Mikel can be proud of what he achieved. Great servant for the club.

What a man. There are so many remarkably talented players like Mata, Özil, Dybala (etc.) who don't particularly fit into the football structure du jour where you think 'if only he had been born ten years earlier...' Mikel was one of the few who was born too early. (I always thought he would have made a world-class Guardiola centre-back - latter day Hiddink had the right idea.)

Mikel in his prime would be the first name on the teamsheet in our current midfield. It's a shame Conte was such a d**khead that we never got to see him paired properly with Kanté.

Thanks for the many, many years of metronomic reliability and  precision. Thanks for the European Cup. Thanks for always making Michael Carrick look sh*t. Thanks in particular for the opportunity to fight the good fight against all the ignorant peasants who didn't rate you. Hope you become the best manager in the world one day.

We should be very careful signing players from weaker leagues like this. The numbers they put up mean nothing in regard to how they'll play in the PL.

Pure quality. In his prime certainly one of the best in his position. Also always seemed to me as a fantastic professional. Best of luck to Gary!
