Sure i agree im not saying he's perfect, just i like Zaha dribbling ability and when he plays well he's a handful for any defence and the fact he's home-grown. I wouldn't pay £70M though.

July 28, 20187 yr 6 minutes ago, jack_super_class said: Oh come on, hardly an outrageous opinion. Disagree. Crystal Palace are entirely set up around Zaha. He does little off the ball or outside of the final third. Pedro and Willian are asked to do much more work (third man runs etc.) to support our attack. They are also heavily involved in our build-up and defence. Zaha does none of that. He essentially has a dribble and a shot and that's it.

I think he was in the top 5 dribblers in Europe last season with Hazard. Im not saying we should spend £70M on him but he's a good player.

July 28, 20187 yr Talk of us being in for Aaron Ramsey, who has one year left on his deal. Would you take him?

I would absolutely, reckon he'd be perfect for the AM position in Sarri's 4-3-3 (as would Christian Eriksen). I don't doubt RLC/Barkley have talent but I don't think they have Ramsey's football brain. Edited July 28, 20187 yr by the special one
July 29, 20187 yr Ramsey is equivalent to Barkley in many ways. Very injury prone and a player with potential that never seems to find its peak.
July 29, 20187 yr There's hints that Christian Pulisic might be bring hawked ariund by Dortmund. He's be expensive (£60m+) but he's a hell of a tallent and 19 had a lot of room to grow. Thoughts?

Possibly one of the players I'd prefer most in todays market - imagine him costing ~£60m but Dembele ~£135m last year. He's a natural right winger, already has experience in one of the biggest leagues in Europe and the Champions League and is only 19. Could (and I think would) become a Chelsea star.
July 29, 20187 yr This is where we f* up, should have sold Willian to Barca for 60M, hand that money to Dortumund and we would had a first bite at the Pullisic deal. Instead, we are keeping Willian, or waiting for a bigger offer from United. Pullisic won't be that keen if he has to battle Willian for that starting spot, he needs to play regularly, not in and out of the team like a normal 20 year old signed Chelsea. We are in a bidding war, and could possibly have avoided if we acted earlier and more decisively.

My somewhat controversial view is that Pulisic is overrated because he is the great white hope of USA football and a massive part of the English speaking football blog/Twitter community is American. He's a a decent player for his age but his end numbers are mediocre and he gives the ball away lots. He completes about 40% of his take-ons/dribbles (for comparison Willian, Pedro and RLC complete about 65. Hazard close to 80). You can't be paying 70m for that.

Barkley isn't actually injury prone. You're injury prone if you are picking up injuries every few weeks, Barkley only had the one big injury.

I think he's overrated in the sense that he's not as good as most Americans seem to think because he's already the best player American player in the world. He is only 19 though so it's not like he is the finished product.
July 29, 20187 yr ffs have we not learnt nothing from the last 6 years , one decent /big signing a season baka last season Jorgh this, unleast we sell as in (costa / morata ) the rest will average at best , we will not sign another first team player this year and you can bring this up if and when we do
