July 27, 20178 yr Sandro would be a great signing, but doesn't the right side have less cover? We could try and sign Ricardo from Porto, haven't seen him play much, apart from highlights, but his stats were impressive last season and I've read good things about him. I don't think he'd be too difficult to sign and he would probably be a very good right wing back for us, can't think of too many other options on that flank. Edited July 27, 20178 yr by Floyd25
July 27, 20178 yr I don't mind if the board go all in for LWB and CM now. We need cover for that side. RWB can wait till Jan if we don't have enough time. We have Rudiger and Azpi to cover for RWB as well as Tomori. Once Matic and Diego is sold, we should have 50m+ to concentrate on a RWB.
July 27, 20178 yr Saw we're competing with Liverpool and Spurs for some RB named Toljan. Never seen him play but if he's available for 3m as they say and he's capable then I hope we offer quadruple that just to get it done

Played and apparently excelled in the u21's for Germany this summer.

Looked very decent in the u21 championship. Like all young players its now he kicks on , with the right coaching has the ability to go into being Germany's RB for many years ahead.
July 27, 20178 yr Spurs will sign him. Not a bad bit of business, sell one RB for 50m, and sign another up and coming one for 3m.

July 27, 20178 yr 3.1M for a very promising RB is crazy when you think we spent double that on Kenedy.
July 27, 20178 yr BBC sport reporting via whoever else that we put in a late big for Walker but it was unsuccessful
July 27, 20178 yr If from here we signed Sandro, Llorente, Barkley and Oxlade-Chamberlain I struggle to think how we could have had a better realistic window.

July 28, 20178 yr I never support not signing players that improve the squad in place of giving youth a shot, not how modern elite football works but paying for Barkley and ox even lorente the prices they want....will they improve us other than depth? You could argue ox is versitile and quick, got experience, Barkley I think could be very good if he was consistent but he is a risk, do we have any youth that are as good, if we do play them instead. This boga kid looks good, Baker....not seen enough, but he looks extremely technical, do we have anyone else good enough that we can say bring them on he will do a job like ox would? We sold or loaned our best youth, why sell ake and buy ox for more, is he better? Is Barkley better than RLC or chalobah? I get why we don't play youth and agree, it's about the best men available in the pitch, but under that philosophy why buy these level players that will have minimal impact,

I agree if it's one or the other but including them all we'd be very deep. I think we have yet to see Conte have a full squad as he'd like it. If he has more players he could trust we'd see much more rotation than last season when we used more or less 15 players. Luiz, Kante, Hazard, Moses and Alonso played even when they had knocks or needed a rest. Hopefully we get to a point where we can sit them down for a weekend and let them recover properly. July 28, 20178 yr We should getting top player and add class to the team, not getting average players, that we would try to get rid in few years. Atleast for me the team needed class and i`m not sure we added enough. Did we even strengthen our team, compare to last year or we weakened it ? So far it`s unknown if Morata is upgrade over Costa. Atleast for the begining i don`t think so, in a future time, probably yes. I do think Bakayoko is upgrade over Matic, but we got to see how he will be in the PL. Against Juve he was looking awfull. Rudiger for me won`t be starter from the begining, he will become starter with season going. And the squad now is even thinner then last year. In the midfielder at the moment we have exactly 3 senior player and Baker, who is CM, not DM. Who exactly will cover Bakayoko/Kante spot ? And people here are saying we need just 2 wingbacks, o my dear. Last year untill the winter we have Oscar, Mikel, Matic, Kante, Chalobah, RLC, Fabregas, that is 7 players, to 4 now, and now we will compete in CL ..... So board job to the moment is not good enough, atleast for me. City for example have: Toure, Fernandinho, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Delph, Gundogan, Fernando, and players like De Bryune, Sterling, Leroy Sane can play as AM. Tottenham have: Lamela, Wanayama, Dier, N'Koudou, Sissoko, Dembelee, Dele Alli, Christensen, Harry Winks, and some young Josh Onomah. United have: Pogba, Mata, Carick, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Fellaini, and Lingard can play as AM. And they are after atleast 1 CM. Add Matic and they have 7 or 8 players at that position. We are also 1 wingers down, we need 4, and we are 2 wing-backs down. If we want to challenge we will need good depth in the team. The season will be long and with the CL football, we need more players. There will be injuries, lack of form, tiredness, to change something when it`s not working, and so on, so you need bigger squad. We are lacking and need 4 new players. Surely 2 wing-backs, DM, Right Mifielder and Conte obviously want third striker, so 5 new faces.

Barkley and Ox would be more like £20m to £25m respectively, with only one year left on their contracts, surplus to requirements and Everton forcing Barkley out of the door, if both are signed for a collective £80m, I'd be flabergasted. Same with Llorente one year left on his contract, they have Tammy, Ayew and McBurnie (highly rated within the club), have been linked with a Bony return and another striker that escapes me. I would be surprised if it took over £12m, they also seem to be looking for a replacement so I wouldn't be surprised if this were to happen before the end of the window sigh.
July 28, 20178 yr Rumours linking us to being interested in both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ross Barkey to boost our homegrown/English representation. Could maybe see one coming but surely not both? Could probably go for Oxlade-Chamberlain out of the two if for nothing more than his versatility. Not sure either necessarily makes us a better team though.
