How many medals has Suarez got ?

There is no 'I' in team but there is a 'U' in c**t.

Drogba had not won any medals before joining us

Torres had not won any medals before joining us

I don't really feel Suarez is more of a c**t than RvP or Rooney for example but I rate him as a football player ahead of both.

I just don't see Liverpool ever selling him to anyone in the League - reckon Real will snap him up at some point for 70-80 million.

He can score as many goals as he wants , its all about Luis not the team. Torres puts in a shift for the team, yes we need a goalscorer but when he looks back at his cabinet in years to come he should be satisfied , will Suarez say the same ? You reap what you sow.

So Suarez is a prick and no one will buy him because he is a c**t who plays for himself and thus he won't win any trophies

While we should be happy because Torres puts in a shift for the team and Suarez puts in a shift for himself

In years that pass people will remember Torres's trophy cabinet the same way people remember Roque Junior's trophy cabinet - probably Liverpool fans would still rate him the highest because he played at his highest level while being at Pool.

If we were ever to sign Suarez I'd expect attitudes about him to change as soon as he does something like this in a blue kit

Not sure what Suarez has to do with anything. Torres resembled a Conference player tonight, and that's being kind to him. Sadly, it's what we've become used to, prior to Jose. Everyone goes nuts when he puts in a half-decent performance, but let's be honest, even when he's good, there are strikers putting in far better performances week-in week-out, and one of them belongs to us.

Yes his finishing and touch were bad tonight, and he lost possession countless times, but the thing that really gets me is his abject movement. I hope someone posts a video of Hazard's touches against Sunderland, because it will allow me to illustrate. I've seen five year olds with better movement, and I'm not kidding.

We were playing without a centre-forward, and I'm afraid, over the course of a season, performances like that from our striker will cost us the title. Lampard had a great game tonight, as did Ramires, Willian was tidy and Mata linked the play superbly, and Hazard was just sublime.

Torres was up against the likes of Wes Brown and John O'Shea. Put a decent striker up top and it will make all the difference.

Eto'o is by the superior striker IMO, he's been coming into his own and he's looking good, as he gets to grips with the Prem. His scoring record isn't bad, considering his starts. He gives you touch, movement, hold-up play, link-up play and he puts in a shift, and he gives you the odd bit of class. Sure, Torres has the odd good day, but you'll never see Eto'o play half as badly as he did tonight.

I'm not saying Eto'o is the second coming, I'm just putting things in perspective.

Edit: Simply unacceptable from my point of view, and I hope Jose makes him watch the video. He did almost everything wrong.

Wow 1 bad game and the usual mongs are back out in force. How fickle are some people

A typically personal attack (edit: lash out all you like but please refrain from using the word "mong", it's deeply offensive to some people).

By the same token, one good game and you cream your pants, and don't stop talking about it for days.

If people want to talk about Torres, let them. That's what a forum is all about. It certainly doesn't need people like you to police their thoughts.

We don't know the ins and outs of the Lukaku situation so people should just drop it.

What we do know is he was behind Torres in the pecking order, this is something Lukaku's said in an interview.

Now we can also know that after we signed Eto'o, he requested a transfer/loan.

Same situation as Sturridge last year people also didn't know the ins and outs of the situation back than - what we did know is that one player ended up criminally underused and than was transferred away.

Edit: Calling people a mong is bang out of order. You should be ashamed of yourself.

How was that personal in any way? I didn't aim it at any 1 person.

I also never said people weren't allowed to talk about torres but It's tragic how he has played well for the past few months yet one bad game and people are out in force writing 5 paragraphs about how poor he is. It's probably your first post in this thread for a couple of months which tells you all you need to know.

You don't like what people write and you call them "the usual mongs".

Sadly typical of you.

Edit: I give Torres credit when it's due, contrary to your assertion, following the Tottenham and City games. Funny how you didn't object then. I call it as I see it, and that's what this forum is all about, talking football, rather than throwing insults around.

As I said, stop trying to police people. We all know how you feel about Torres.

Was poor tonight but has been in great form for the last two months so I'm gonna cut him some slack, as Davey said Eto'o should start next game against Stoke.

Yes we get it you don't like the word mong I'm sorry you are so offended by it I really am.

Not trying to police people in the slightest. Sorry to disappoint you but I can't be asked to engage in some poncy arguement about nothing so let's leave it there.

I haven't even talked about his performance tonight just questioned Jose assessment of our strikers and their pecking order. This is something I've said time and time again but people will continue to defend this decision even though I feel it's one of the worst decisions Jose made. Do people honestly think that Torres would bang 25 goals in the League playing for West Brom or Everton for an year and half based on his performance in a blue kit?

I don't think anyone other than people who just like Fernando Torres(plenty of those) would actually take him ahead of Lukaku in their squad as a first choice striker. Especially when you consider the upward curve which is possible for Lukaku considering he is still just a kid

I like torres and he's been loads better this season. However he is never going to be a top level striker again, like saurez, rvp, Rooney standard. Surely we all agree with this. Shouldn't chelsea, if they want to win the title, have a striker that scores frequently?? I so wish we could bring Lukaku back in Jan.

I like Torres a lot but I wouldn't take him over Lukaku. Also when you mentioned before about what Lukaku says in interviews, he has said many different things so it's hard to really pay attention to him. I don't think that Lukaku is telling the whole story about why he really got sent out on loan again. To be fair I know you're annoyed about him getting sent out on loan but it's turned into a broken record, whenever we play sh*t or a striker doesn't play well you start booting off at Jose over something.

It sounded pretty insulting but maybe you didn't mean it that way.

No hard feelings.

Lukaku's situation is the strangest situation I can think off, certainly strikers have been frozen out of the squad due to personal differences with a manager but none have been send out on loan. Right now Lukaku's goals are powering Everton in a position where they are direct rivals for a top 4 place. It's not even early days any longer 1/3 of the season has passed us by. There is no other time in World Football where a player has performed so admirably while on loan only to be send out on loan again. Yet we do it with Lukaku and Courtois - while with Courtois this decision makes sense since Cech is still a World Class keeper and Courtois can use another season at Atletico playing in the CL; Lukaku's move makes no sense because our forwards aren't as good as him and he offers something completely different physically and in terms of finishing. Defenders dread to play against him despite his obvious shortcoming - he could have worked on those playing here because it's certain we would play more games than Everton by the end of the season.

There is a reason people keep asking the loan - it makes zero sense to anyone outside of the club.

As a 50 year old Jose should stop playing with riddles and come out and say whatever is on his mind and clear this up. I'd accept that, even if it meant that Lukaku won't be here next season but instead it's like he is putting oil in the fire.

I think it's probably the same as Sturridge myself, Lukaku was promised something by the board without considering the next manager and after the next manager arrived it turned out he was back to square one

Way below par tonight. His performances this season have been a platform for him to push on as they have been solid at best. But the reality is that he has 2 Premier League goals in the 11 months of 2013. In the last two games, Ba has had more chances than Torres in about 1/3rd of the minutes. Demba Ba is your average run of the mill PL striker but he makes the movement which is required.

There a lot of Torres fans out there and I too like the guy, he has had his most complete CFC performances in the last 3 months, but in reality they aren't good enough. He was class against Spurs and City, but apart from that it has been pretty average. Personally, I would have Ba or Eto'o as my first choice strikers as they are most similar to our best striker and are constantly much more involved in our build up play.

I'll probably get slated as some Torres hater and fickle etc, but remember I am just stating my opinion.

He has become the laughing stock of the premier league.

I find lines like this are an exaggeration.

inb4 someone says "become?".

We don't know the ins and outs of the Lukaku situation so people should just drop it.

Torres was terrible today but I hope it was just a bad day at the office. Amazing how quickly people turn on him.

This.

It's almost as if folk couldn't wait for him to have a bad game again so they could come on and spout the same old drivel. ALL players have poor games from time to time. Lamps, JT, Cech, Drogba - All Chelsea legends and maybe aboce criticism but ALL have had their share of shockers over the seasons. I've seen players have much worse games than Torres last night and come out unscathed. Sure he wasn't great last night and missed an absolute sitter but this thread has just got very tiresome.
