December 18, 201510 yr Don't remind me... we were born in the same week! Sorry mate ;) let's say it like this, he's not young for a footballer.
December 18, 201510 yr Can't say I've felt any great attachment to Eden Hazard, he's a player who leaves me pretty cold. I tend to appreciate players who show up in times of adversity; people who really are prepared to put in a shift or do a particular job for the team. Over the last decade we've been blessed to have a number of such players but Hazard isn't it. This comment sums up my entire feelings towards Eden Hazard for the past three years. Phenomenal talent with the wrong personality, he doesn't look arsed if we win or lose and is happy to just collect his paycheck. He was outstanding last season, but I've never taken to him like I took to Essien, Ballack and of course the "old guard".
December 18, 201510 yr Sell this w**ker as soon as possible. I know he carried us to the title last season but what about this season? Everyone else has maintained their high standards from last season so why hasn't he? And why the f**k are we paying him 200k if he can't even singlehandedly beat teams every week?

December 18, 201510 yr Hazard is a fantastic player and is a game changer. I hope he gets back to his best very soon. I hope this move by Chelsea reignites the flame in him. I want him to get back to the best so we can sell him for a high price and use that money to buy someone more professional.
December 18, 201510 yr Everyone else has maintained their high standards from last season so why hasn't he? Everyone ? i think only 2 have have, Azpilicueta and Willian, the rest have been sh*te.

The sarcasm nearly went over my head too! Hazard is now in a no-win situation. If he continues to struggle the supporters will be on his back. If he suddenly looks like the player from last season the boo boys will have a field day and hold him responsible for Jose getting sacked. It might just be his form does improve and that it will be down to the new coach appreciating his strengths more and using him better. We'll have to wait and see. If not, sell the w*anker to Madrid!!
December 18, 201510 yr Somewhat torn over Hazard. If he wants out, then boot him out. If he wants to stay but is disgruntled with the way things have been going and with the coaching, his development, etc, then he needs to pull his socks up and start to kick on.
December 18, 201510 yr Wouldn't bother me one bit if he was sold tbh. Me either mate, he doesn't have the personality to be an elite player IMO no matter what anyone says. I hated his comments when he said he was happy if he got just one goal and that. If Real want to pay silly money I wouldn't lose any sleep.
December 18, 201510 yr If he suddenly looks like the player from last season the boo boys will have a field day and hold him responsible for Jose getting sacked. Which is ludicrous considering a far better reaction would be to get behind the new gaffer for getting our best player back into form.

I think if the team improves and starts playing better, then Hazard's form improves naturally. We've seen enough of him to know that this is not his true level. Worst case scenario is, the fans turn on him and he decides he's had enough of the whole circus. We'll end up selling him for less than what he's worth and struggle to find a decent replacement with no champions league football.
December 18, 201510 yr We should sell this w**ker and buy player who will be proud to play for Chelsea. Don't be silly, all players are mercenaries these days. You will be lucky to find any who "want" to play for a club. However, we have many youth players whom would want to play for the club.
December 18, 201510 yr People who think Hazard is a mercenary/lazy/deliberately underperformed should watch Charles N'Zogbia play sometime...
December 18, 201510 yr Author I think hazard is being scapegoated a bit here. He's been poor but so have a lot of players. Matic has been worse imo. We don't know what has gone on behind the scenes. There seems to a consensus that if the players improve it will be because they were playing poorly to get Mourinho sacked. If the players do improve then maybe it was mourinho's methods that had become the main problem. No one knows what's happened. I certainly won't be throwing out personnel insults at a player that has overall been fantastic for us, and I'd be gutted if he was to leave.
December 18, 201510 yr Eden is one of the most talented players I've ever seen play for the club but his performances this season suggest a mentally fragile player who can't doesn't have the killer instinct or ruthlessness to be a true champion for consecutive years. I honestly wouldn't be bothered if we sold him for a big price! I've always had a feeling that his ultimate destination is Real Madrid and this is a stepping stone to reach such a position. December 18, 201510 yr I think he'll flourish if he wasn't given the burden of having to single-handledly win games for us. At the moment the opposition just put every one on him when he has the ball and we have no one else to exploit this. It's a case of stop Hazard, by fair means or foul, and you stop us playing. We need other skilful, goal-scoring attackers alongside him. Imagine Hazard alongside the likes of Griezmann, Lacazette or say Pogba, Mueller. Instead of the dimwits he's being asked to play alongside now. Edited December 18, 201510 yr by Socrates
December 18, 201510 yr Oscar, Pedro, Fabregas, Willian, Cuadrado, Schurrle are/were meant to be those players. (Salah, too.) I really don't think the level of players to help Hazard can be found without breaking the bank, and even then, there's no telling whether or not they'll do the business. Most of those similar level players are at Real, Bayern, Barca - clubs who are unlikely to sell. He clicked with team mates last season - for half of it, at least - so there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to now. If anything, too many times they're trying to be too intricate, Hazard included, and are too busy trying to adminster death by a thousand cuts, instead of keeping things simple. Drive at the defence, make a yard and shoot. Oscar, Fabregas, Costa, Hazard, all guilty.

If not, sell the w*anker to Madrid!! we're in a situation where for some 1) if the players continue their poor form this will prove the board was wrong to sack jose and the players really are rubbish. jose should have been allowed to replace them all. 2) if the players improve then this will prove that they betrayed jose and thus deserve to be treated as traitors. jose should have been allowed to replace them all. this sort of circular self deception- a kind of rigged 'logic' I think speaks to the esteem jose is rightly held in. but I don't think it will help even as a coping mechanism in the long term. the more I read on here the more I see it is becoming fait accompli.

Terrfic post! Hoping everyone has been noticing this develop. On Hazard, it is crucially important to have match winners like this in your team. While having a tight team and a cohesion is absoloutely imperative, so many games are won by individual brilliance. We need to keep him, we need him to take the game by the scruff of the neck at times. Only a handful of players in the world can do this. And we need him to do it for us. Spare me your "but look at him this season" crap, he has been woeful but so has the WHOLE team. He is a quality player and you can shove all the love for the club you want in a bag, if you start shipping out quality then the endless circle of debate will continue. Everyone's crying out for stability and I honestly think people mean managerial stability.. Stability extends to the team as well.

December 18, 201510 yr Hazard was never a fit with Mourinho. 2 things: 1) Hazard has gone on record that he prefers to play the 10 and he probably didn't like that Mourinho didn't want him to play there (Mourinho has said he prefers a different player than Hazard to be a 10) 2) Playing as a winger although has gotten him success, limits Hazard as he has a lot of defensive work to do. At 10 he would be more free. All that being said, even Hiddink may not play him at 10 so it could be all for naught.
December 18, 201510 yr Hello all .noob here. I personally think hazard is the mastermind behind this. He chose us because we won the champions league. He will never be ours . I don't see if he's the same level as ronaldo or messi . He never had won us a game on his own . Not this season not last season. If ure ronaldo and messi mold you will be very special. I would be happiest when this little rat leaves. Not to RM but to PSG and he retires there . Pathetic little twerp
