Yeah hes a CM. Would be perfect in a midfield three or in the pivot. Big athletic and with good passing range, just what we need. Looks like hes going to olay a lot for Stoke this year.

Always rated him and thought he was excellent aginst Liverpool. Hope he gets a shot here when he comes back

Van Ginkel has big boots to fill and a lot of responsibility on his shoulders if he's to prove an effective replacement for Steven N'Zonzi, who developed into an excellent footballer under Mark Hughes and was pivotal to Stoke's gameplan.

Wouldn't mind this guy in our midfield next to Matic. Looks like an all round midfielder and a lot less fragile than he used too.

Still looks a bit raw but I think he's further ahead in his development than RLC, would probably have preferred to keep Van Ginkel and send RLC on loan, but either way could be set up for a good breakthrough season with a decent team.

Joined PSV on loan for the rest of the season.

He was a promising player pre-injury. Hopefully he recovers because he looked good for us when he played.

Thought he did quite well for Stoke as a sub, never quite cemented a spot when starting though.  Perhaps looked better when their were tired bodies around.  Shame about the signing of Imbula for his sake

I would be sad to see if go for good. He's shown great potential when he came in, but that injury completely derailed his role in the team.

He's a good footballer, he can improve under right manager and playtime. I hope he will be back.

I mentioned this in the RLC thread, but I think other promising youngsters seeing things like this happen are obviously going to play with their psyche and how hard they fly into tackles etc, until given a decent run.

 

He injured his knee with us, then his ankle at AC Milan twice (?)

 

He is a great young player, and I really hope he can make it.  however, putting sentiment aside, I think we'll never see him play for us again.  Loaned till the end of the season, then sold on for a  small profit to either an Eredivise or Serie A team.

I'm wondering what's up with Victor Moses. He had a few good matches for west ham but lately I haven't see him playing.

He is just returning from injury it also doesn't help that in his absence Antonio started playing well 

I highly doubt we'll see him in a Chelsea kit ever again. Sadly it seems that knee injury really affected his ability and he's not showing his earlier potential .

Nice positive article here on MvG.

If he carries on playing well for PSV he might even be in the reckoning to regain his place in the heart of the Dutch national side which injury so cruelly took away from him. 

Van Ginkel has scored twice for PSV, making that five goals in his last eight appearances. Playing himself into contention for a squad place next season?
