Whatever happens with Willian, I really hope we don't sell him to United now. 

Mourinho looks a broken man at United at the moment, and in major need of a lifeline.

When is Willian meant to report back for pre-season? 

The lads knocked out in the group stages of the World Cup are back. 

Those involved in the final games are due back next Monday so surely he was due back today?

Yes he is due to be back today but seen no mention of him anywhere. Ruben got a welcome this morning on the other hand.  

The weird Real Madrid stories popping up make me wonder if the club are trying to flog Willian, or drum up a counter offer to drive up price of United move. If so they’ve set the price rather high - but who knows what to believe in terms of the Barca bid or non-bids. In sum total it all looks so strange.

I agree. Willian staying doesn't bother me, but we still really need a new RW. There is still too much pressure on Hazard to produce the goods. Willian's end product just doesn't exist for most of the season. I would be very surprised if Sarri can do the same with Willian that he did with Mertens at Napoli.

I like Willian.  I know he can be frustrating but there is always that small chance he will pull something magical from the bag.  And he seems like a nice guy (except that nonsense after the FA cup - he lost respect there).   On the other hand I wouldn't be devastated if he left.  Unless it was to Manure.  We should never sell anyone to them.  Or any other top 6 side.  But especially Manure.  Or Liverpool.

How suddenly Willian is happy "living in London" and David Luiz wants to stay and is also happy.
Not sure if we will win the title or FA cup again, but I'm sure Sarri will improve the life at the club for the long run, the only thing that worries me is the amount of young talent that needs to be taken care of, with the amount of pressure to perform in the league Sarri might do just like Conte and focus on the results and ignore the likes of Ampadu, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi...

Is it fair to say someone like Kalou could easily walk in to our XI at striker or wing? Morata is questionable at the moment and Willian isn't as productive as Kalou was.

I think it's too early to say. He's very young, it's hard to know what he's fully capable of yet. What i have seen though is that he is so quick at beating the full back with his left foot. I'm not sure if he would be as good doing that with his right foot on the right wing.

Will he though? We seem to have a player power problem at the club. No matter how well things seem to be going, we always end up in a situation where we have players falling out with the head coach.

FYI: Pedro 95 appearances, 20goals. Willian 166 appearances 25goals. Solomon Kalou (254 matches & 60 goals + An European Cup) had a better goal rate than both Pedro & Willian

I hope our new man nips that in the bud forcefully. It has been obvious before that existed and to the detriment of the club.

Watched season 09/10 on sky over weekend and had same discussion, what we could do with kalou now!!! And no good people saying he wasn't top quality, that's the market we are in now, we don't shop at the high end anymore sadly.

In what sense? did our players meet up in the off season in 2015 and randomly decide to turn against Mourinho for no reason? Players aren't going to sit about like choir boys is the boss is acting like a cock (Jose, Conte) or applying tactics that are evidently damaging the club (AVB) and if they did, they are the type of players i wouldn't want anywhere near this club.
