February 14, 201511 yr genuine competitor in Cuadrado has been signed. They started together so dunno if its due to competition or merely a change in position.
February 14, 201511 yr Great days indeed. First game back in Div 1- 20,000 CFC at Highbury. One of the biggest away supports seen anywhere for a league game
February 14, 201511 yr Apologies for poor context- was replying to someone talking about John Neals Blue and White Army. That's what happens when your trying to type and make a Spanish Omellette at the same time!
February 14, 201511 yr Many fans were critics of his performances, but when he scored the winner he is the hero. How things change in football.
February 14, 201511 yr If it was an era where FFP doesn't mean sh*t.. I wouldn't have cared about the money as well. It is Chelsea fans job to support the team and players, Chelsea employ people with a great more knowledge about the working of FFP than the fans, like you, me or BQ, so that we can enjoy the games.
February 16, 201511 yr I think now with juan cuadrado, Willian and Oscar will improve their performance. William played quite well in a last few matches.
March 1, 201511 yr "I was negotiating [with Tottenham]. But negotiations go like that. It takes a few days and what happened is Chelsea came in the picture and I decided to come to Chelsea. Yes, it was my dream to play for Chelsea. I feel that I made the right decision. I have no regrets for my choice. Chelsea have fulfilled all the promises they made and I'm very happy to be here." "[Mourinho] is a great coach. When you look at the stats, see what he has won and what he has done in football, the things that he has achieved, it speaks for itself. All of my expectations when I came have been fulfilled. He's an intelligent coach. He taught me a lot. We learn something new every day. He's a coach who understands the player, understands the player's position. We always learn from him and I'm happy to play under him." "It's part of the game. I expect to get stick from the opposition fans. The Spurs fans are going to try to do everything they can to make us lose our focus. We just have to concentrate, to focus, and understand this is part of the game." "We have confidence going into the game. When I came here I dreamed about playing in finals and having the opportunity to win trophies. Myself and my team-mates are playing for the first trophy of the season, it's my first final, I'm living out my dream and we want to make sure we win the match. As a child my dream was to play at the Maracana. Growing up in Brazil I'd seen so many famous players involved in matches at the stadium from a young age, so that was always my dream. When I moved to Europe and started to understand more about European football and the different stadiums, I then started dreaming of playing at Wembley. It's something which has developed over the years and now I'm really looking forward to playing there."
March 4, 201511 yr Decent against Spurs but for £26 million you'd expect an attacking midfielder to be able to put the ball in the back of the net when there's no keeper. Ramires is more of an attacking threat on that right-wing isn't he?

Ramires is more of an attacking threat on that right-wing isn't he? I don't think he is. Ramires is good for certain games playing outwide but i wouldn't want him playing out there over Willian on a consistent basis. Edited March 4, 201511 yr by jack_super_class
March 4, 201511 yr Couldn't believe he missed that tonight, open goal and he hits it against the one guy standing in the way. Then again not many would be expecting Hazard to square that, I thought he was going to simply roll it in.
March 4, 201511 yr I don't think he is. Ramires is good for certain games playing outwide but i wouldn't want him playing out there over Willian on a consistent basis. I think it's got to be worth a try considering Willian's game is about workrate. Yes he's got a more consistent touch than Ramires but when we're breaking I'd take Ramires every time. Loved how we broke and the ball came to Ivanovic in front of goal - he had Willian to his left but even he must've been thinking, what's the point?

Ramires is more of an attacking threat on that right-wing isn't he? and the thing is, those kind of chances have fallen to him relatively often, and he missed every time
March 4, 201511 yr and the thing is, those kind of chances have fallen to him relatively often, and he missed every time Thankfully not when it mattered most....(Everton) He does seem the type when given time to think about it he usually fluffs his lines
March 4, 201511 yr Hehe. Bluedaze, was thinking the same thing watching it. To be fair, the goalscoring form he's been in, he wasn't gonna turn down the chance.
March 4, 201511 yr Hazard should have just scored himself instead of passing to Willian. It seemed a simple finish for Hazard and I was kind of shocked he squared it, doubt he will do it again after Willian messed it up.

Then again not many would be expecting Hazard to square that, I thought he was going to simply roll it in. He needs to train on putting his foot through the ball cause that's where he's lacking for me, personally I'd have toe smashed that shot, used to do it all the time when I posted footy and it would rocket in.
March 5, 201511 yr It seemed a simple finish for Hazard and I was kind of shocked he squared it, doubt he will do it again after Willian messed it up. yeah, as always, Eden has to be more clinical.
March 5, 201511 yr Willian needs to bury that, no excuses really! He should be extra-happy WHU couldn't equalize.
March 5, 201511 yr Willian and Oscar have been substandard since the turn of the year. Hope they step-up.
March 5, 201511 yr I was actually happy with what Hazard did when he passed it to Willian, i like that he is a team player. Hazard had 3 or 4 shots on goal so this time he passed it to Willian who should have scored. Willian has been in this position many times this season and he never finishes it. It's frustrating because against Liverpool, Everton and Villa he got himself a goal and 2 assists, i thought things were changing for him, but tonight it was back to the Willian who can't create and can't shoot. Another thing that really annoyed me was his pass to Fabregas in the second half, it really was so poor. All he had to do was pass it straight to Fabregas and he would have been in the area and we would have had another chance to score, but he completely messed it up. For some strange reason he looped the ball into the area and gave Fabregas no chance of getting on the end of it and it went straight out of play. If it was a one off then i wouldn't complain but it happens so often. It's like as soon as he comes up against the full back he freezes and has no idea what to do, so he either just plays a terrible pass like that or runs around a bit and then plays it five yards back or to the side. With his pace he should surely be looking to attack the full backs and create goalscoring opportunites for us. Willian is one of the worst finishers and one of least creative players in the squad. It really isn't good enough for a winger who is in a side that is challenging for titles. I really hope Cuadrado is capable of getting some goals and assists because we have spent a hell of a lot of money on wingers in the last few seasons and they don't seem to be delivering in the attack. I know it's a bit of a rant but he is one very frustrating player to watch. I feel like i am constantly waiting for something to happen when he is on the ball but that something never happens. The goals are drying up and it's time for Willian and some of the other midfielders to step up and start getting us some goals. Hazard, Diego Costa, and Ivanovic can't score them all.
March 5, 201511 yr Willian and Oscar have been substandard since the turn of the year. Hope they step-up. In Jan and Feb there is a strong argument willian was our best player
March 5, 201511 yr Calm down guys, all we do is slate our player we are 5pts clear ffs with a game in hand! Not the worst miss ever, he has to strike it first time and he has to get it on target both which he done. Every now and again it will just hit the defender or the defender will make a great block. That's what happened on this occasion no big deal. Eden probably should have slotted it home himself anyway.
March 5, 201511 yr And Costa had a one on one with the keeper and let a defender nick it off him from behind. sh*t happens. Edited March 5, 201511 yr by Stim
