March 24, 201511 yr You could never bet against Kalou popping up with something decisive in an important game!
March 25, 201511 yr This guy gets far too much stick. He has bags of talent. His footwork is exceptional, he's fast and plays a big part in a lot of our goals along with a huge work rate in midfield. No doubt he needs to work on his end product, even so i still think he has a deserved spot in our team. Oscar on the other hand, ha can go games on end without doing a thing. At least willian puts in a decent performance most games.

At least willian puts in a decent performance most games. In a purely attacking sense Willian just doesn't do enough for a lot of fans, that's where the frustration comes from. For a player that spends so much time in the attacking third of the pitch he just doesn't impact games enough. Oscar's form has tailed of recently but his overall contribution is still way ahead of Willian's. 4 more assists and 4 more goals than Willian in the league is pretty significant. Willian needs to be more positive in his attacking play, of almost 1000 attempted passes less than half of them are forward passes. It's all well and good running around and chasing the ball down a lot (I've got a dog at home who could do that) but what good is winning back possession if he can't do the opposition any harm once he's got it? He's not a bad player by any means but for me he just doesn't contribute enough where it really matters and it puts extra pressure on the likes of Hazard, Costa and Fabregas to come up with the goods. You look at a players like Damien Duff and Joe Cole in our tittle winning seasons they were coming up with a goal every 4 or 5 games, Willian is currently scoring once every 14.
March 25, 201511 yr For £60 million quid you would like to think we'd have a player who could score and creat goals far more than what Willian and early impressions of Cuadrado seem to offer. Willian would be fine as a squad player, a very useful one at that but it seems if Hazard aint on his A game (Thankfully this season he has been most games) then we have no threat down the flanks at all. April 4, 201511 yr Much better when he's roaming all over rather than just sticking on that right hand side. Running around full speed till the final whistle. This guy doesn't know what fatigue is.
April 4, 201511 yr Wouldn't have won three points without him, his closing down was completely responsible for the winning goal. Let us note of course that he technically didn't get an assist.
April 4, 201511 yr A bit more direct today, actually got to the byline on occasion and put in some crosses. Hopefully he keeps that up and doesn't go straight back to standing there waving his foot over the ball and then passing backwards, like a knob.

April 4, 201511 yr He had one of his best games for the club today. He was taking people on, making some key passes and doing his usual defensive work. I hope Willian plays more like this because it's really frustrating watching Willian run forward and then stop and play a 5 yard pass backwards. I noticed that he was doing the attacking today and not Ivanovic, this works better in my opinion. Our defense looked more solid and Willian looked a better player.
April 4, 201511 yr Much better when he plays behind the striker than stuck out wide on the right although he did put in some nice crosses. Still much prefer him than Oscar in the number 10 role.
April 5, 201511 yr I agree with Mr Superclass... Willian in the number 10 role for next season with a new signing on the right and Hazard everywhere else!
April 5, 201511 yr It's nice to see good comments about him. I just hope he will continue in that way.

April 5, 201511 yr Was excellent yesterday. Would like to see him in the number 10, with a new right winger. Have Cuadrado and a new signing battle it out.
April 5, 201511 yr I like the idea of slotting Willian to number 10 role. Cuadrado on right. Jose, try it.
April 7, 201511 yr He was one of the better play on Saturday. However unlike many of his previous games, could and should have put that point blank range shot away when we were 2:1. That's the difference between a good and great player right there.

April 7, 201511 yr Haven't watched the game in full yet but delighted to read some of the comments on here about his performance. The last time that happened was against Everton so it's good to see him bringing consistency and goal threat to his game. Will have to keep an eye out for him when I get round to watching the game but will be delighted to see him living up to that price tag and tormenting Stoke so we have some balance with Hazard on the other wing.
April 7, 201511 yr Had a great game. Need him to show more consistency and getting the odd goal here and there. Would be nice to see willian play with a little more freedom but winning matches is more important.
