January 7, 201511 yr http://www.espnfc.us/club/atletico-madrid/1068/video/2227682 45 000 people just to welcome torres Edited January 7, 201511 yr by DidierDrogbalala
January 7, 201511 yr I read "Torres withdrawn after failing to impress on his homecoming," and had to smile because he has nothing to do with our club anymore. It's so great!
January 7, 201511 yr ^ Definitely and very impressed that he gave two youngsters a start in such a massive game.
January 7, 201511 yr Wasn't a great game but that's two defeats on the trot for Real. The bubble seems to be deflating if not burst.
January 8, 201511 yr Atletico are a side to be admired from the distance! Simeone has done wonders with that club and deserves all the plaudits he receives.
January 8, 201511 yr The Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has caused anger by posting a picture of the late Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar on his Instagram page. Rojo, an Argentinian, published the picture on Saturday with a quote from Escobar underneath. “Only those who went hungry with me and stood by me when I went through a bad time at some point in life will eat at my table,” the quote read. The post sparked fury among some people on the social media website. Based on the fact Balotelli got a one match ban recently for an "offensive" picture posted on social media you would assume Rojo's punishment would be the same.... But then that would assume the FA are capable of consistency.
January 8, 201511 yr ...that would assume the FA are capable of consistency. What a ridiculous statement, of course they're not!
January 8, 201511 yr Aguero's back in full training, Should be on the bench for the Everton game if not possibly starting against Arsenal, Dzeko's also back, Maybe the Bony signing might be the kick up the backside he needs.
January 8, 201511 yr Bony is off to Africa isnt he? by the time he gets back, Aguero will be fully fit surely?
January 8, 201511 yr Bony is off to Africa isnt he? by the time he gets back, Aguero will be fully fit surely?I think he is almost fit right now. By that time though, he will probably be injured again.
January 8, 201511 yr Thank God for that, they'll have to find someone else to provide the inane and uninformative ramblings on Champions League nights.
January 8, 201511 yr ITV haven't renewed Andy Townsend's contract! Hallelujah! Excellent news. When he was commentating I had to turn down the volume on my TV.
January 8, 201511 yr Thank God for that, they'll have to find someone else to provide the inane and uninformative ramblings on Champions League nights. No more Captain Hindsight. Should have passed there Clive Could have taken on a shot himself there Clive. Should have crossed Clive Etc etc
January 8, 201511 yr I loved Townsend, Just simply for his orgasm over the Aguero hat trick against Bayern.
January 8, 201511 yr One down, at least one to go....tyldesley has to go next...not that itv will have much football to show next season anyway
January 8, 201511 yr Excellent news. When he was commentating I had to turn down the volume on my TV. They've probably had to let Townsend go as, with him being at ITV, the channel is not meeting the legal 'Scouse pundit' level. That said, ITV losing a big chunk of its football coverage is also a factor.
January 8, 201511 yr ^ Also the fact that he's laughably sh*t. I guess we have another excuse to post this:
January 8, 201511 yr Martin Tyler should go soon too. Rob Hawthorne is the only truly decent commentator at the moment.
January 8, 201511 yr As happy as I am with no more Townsend, all I keep thinking is 'better the devil you know'. He was properly horrendous but I'm sure ITV will be able to conjure up someone even worse.
