Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

Featured Replies

This little snippet from an Mark Worrall article on espn says it all for me,

Against Arsenal, it could be argued that the Gunners set out to deliberately wind up Costa. If so, the plan backfired spectacularly. What exactly was Koscielny doing to attract the Chelsea man's attention? Was his theatrical response merited? The three former "elite" referees who make up up the FA panel seem to have overlooked the Arsenal defender's part in the incident.

I just made an acc to talk about this :D. I'm a United fan but I just had to do it.

Geez you lot are special bunch. What he did was mark him out of the game.

If Koscienly starts crying after he get's hit like Diego did after he got "hit" by Gabriel it's a red card for Diego and Arsenal play the second half against 10 man. If Koscienly starts crying after getting hit the second time....if Koscienly jumps to the ground like any player in Spain would, and rolls around...Costa get's a red card ....

Gabriel was stupid to do that, even if that is not a kick.

Costa is ...well Costa.

But in this mess...the only one who acted well was the french man.

Di Mateo goal in the FA CUP. What year ?

That was the question to register, how many of you used google for that one?   :D :D :D

Wait, you signed up to an opposition fans forum just to be a dick ? Instead of doing that, why didn't you spend your morning doing something worth doing like getting a job ?

There was some serious doubt about costa before we signed him, myself and a few others had doubts about his technical ability, his discipline, and his hamstring.

Last season I felt like he had proved me wring to some extent, with the amount of goals he scored, and I grew to appreciate his warrior approach.

He has been here just over a season though now and those 3 original fears have been realised since the turn of year, he hasn't been scoring as regular and with the suspension coming up, he would have missed about 12 games though injury and suspension.

Because he isn't scoring as much there is more focus on what else he brings to to table, and his touch has been found wanting at times.

I don't think I will ever be completely sold on diego costa, but if he can score goals regularly again, i'd be very happy. The trouble is gaining and keeping scoring momentum when you are in and out of the side, through suspension and injury.

you did, didn't you ?

go on youtube and watch the goal. it's pretty good.

He got 7 in 10 PL games since January til the end of last season. It's only this season he has 2 in 6 which coincides with the whole team being a bit off the boil so I'd wait before eulogising the big man

I have a job. and it's not morning.

So doing something just to piss people off makes you a dick Diego:).

I don't want to be a c**t really. Just that I wanted to say some things...But the question thing was funny, you have to give me that. should have been, who did you support in 97?

Sad as to sign up to a rivals forum instead of posting on your own.

How pathetic.

Really funny and original :JC_doubleup: True ambassador for united fans

sorry about being a c**t. it's in my nature.

but you stimy did get pretty pissed off about the question thing. i got you. it's not your fault mate. football just wasn't really that great before 2005.

At no point did I write costa off, no eulogising here.

Since returning from his suspension last season, costa has scored 4 in 14, he missed 6 more games with his hamstring, which was in the most vital time of the season, and now he looks likely to miss another 3 now.

He needs to improve massively and get back to the player he was 12 months ago, and I think staying injury and suspension free will be the only way to do it.

Sorry shouldn't have attributed it to you. Read a lot of stuff about Costa being finished lately and it's a bit grating. He'll be back to his scoring ways after his little rest I have no doubt

Mate, in 1997 we were all supporting Chelsea as we had for years before and as we are now.

I guess in '97 you were learning how to be a c**t and to be fair to you, you've more than managed it.

You reap what you sow. You can't adopt the laager mentality of the average Millwall fan

What's Costa got to do with their beer drinking habits? I'm sure they have plenty of Guinness and bitter drinkers in their ranks.

Up until United became sh*te 2 years ago they were renowned for having the most glory hunting fans of any club in world football.

So really the only funny part of your post was the bitter irony.
