September 21, 201510 yr It seems we're always the ones who get the sh*t end, I remember Essien getting banned for three games (right before we played Arsenal funnily enough) in 2007 for a supposed elbow when it was clearly an accident. Yet Aguero can stamp on Luiz, Sanchez can punch Ivanovic and Toure can stamp on (whoever it was) but escape bans of any sort? f**king joke. The campaign is back #TheCampaign
September 21, 201510 yr Surely we won't appeal? Just take the 3 game ban which is basically two because the league cup game will count as one. If we appeal then walsall won't count as one of the games and will miss 3 prem ones instead
September 21, 201510 yr There's surely no way they can win that appeal by the letter of tech law he kicked out, doesn't matter if it's a mild kick or not the intent was there. I'd expect Gabriel to get 4 matches , an extra match for failing to leave the pitch when sent off and a few grand to the Christmas do money for the FA.
September 21, 201510 yr Not really worth the aggro that proceeds it is it? Two players banned and both clubs fined. Edited September 21, 201510 yr by 1905.
September 21, 201510 yr Costa and us generally are considered an easy target by both the media and the FA... Mainly because we are the team to hate, and have been for a while now.Five weeks into the season and the campaign has begun, f**k 'em we'll ram it down their throats as we did last year, and Remy or Falcao will score instead for the next three (inevitable ban) games... Do the dopey, whiney, mealey mouthed Gooners not realise this does nothing but galvanize the whole club.. w**kers.

The campaign is back #TheCampaign The club, Mourinho and the fans need to make a bigger noice in the future whenever there are off the ball incidents against us. It won't come so easy for us, as with clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, United etc who have an army of pundits to highlight them. Its very annoying that minor stuff keeps getting brought up to FA, while that Burnley player that almost broke Matics and Ivanovics foot in one game gets away with it. Had that been Costa, who did those challanges, then the referee would most likely have forgot he saw those incidents in his report, allowing FA to set a long ban. September 21, 201510 yr luckily we got wallsall and newcastle next, it's the southampton one that's a bit worrying but just like last year i think remy will answer the call brilliantly not sure if gabriel is a starter but they got spuds and leicester away and a ucl match next so expect the moaning to continue from the gooners now about gabriel doing nothing wrong
September 21, 201510 yr Be nice if he heeded his lesson, but it happened last season, so the chances aren't great. Hopefully he spends the next couple of weeks working on his fitness, losing some weight and doing some ball work. Lord knows he needs the practise.
September 21, 201510 yr I wonder if costa would of been charged had gabriel not of been sent off. Me thinks not. Never the less costa needs to cut this stuff out but he won't. Sure a few niggly tackles and rough defenders up but the flying arms need to stop. Can't believe he hasn't had one red card yet in his time here
September 21, 201510 yr Could be more than 3 games if they deem it a repeat offence, although I don't think that's very likely. Inconsistent or not, it's the right decision. Both parties at fault, both parties fined.
September 21, 201510 yr The fa cave to media pressure unsurprisingly...didn't seem quite so keen to punish Ashley Barnes though when he acted like a complete thing against us last season...great consistency

Great post, we are gonna gave to otherwise we're gonna be the ones who suffer. Can't believe I forgot the Barnes incident, that was the worst injustice ever.
September 21, 201510 yr As expected. He needs to cut out the petulance and concentrate on playing football. Yes the FA are inconstant and we get a rough ride regarding these incidents but why do we keep giving them amo? The club and Diego need to sort this out.
September 21, 201510 yr The fa cave to media pressure unsurprisingly...didn't seem quite so keen to punish Ashley Barnes though when he acted like a complete thing against us last season...great consistency I'm sick and tired of the F.A being so f**king weak to be honest. Every single time there is media pressure they react. It's pathetic, they are basically letting the media do their job for them.
September 21, 201510 yr When Matic suffered a potentially leg breaking tackle Vs Burnley nothing was done about it. But Diego is getting it for a swinging arm which the red didnt see, apparently. Ridiculously inconsistent. He was very lucky to stay on the pitch but that being said his fighting from the front seemed to work wonders for our team after a very poor start to the season. I hope we can continue this good form.
September 21, 201510 yr Author Convenient that all four match day officials missed it. Thankfully all the papers and pundits were able to remind them of it.
September 21, 201510 yr How predictable, 3 matcher coming up for Diego, he doesn't seem the type to ponder in silent self-reflection so doubt any lessons will be learned in regard to future self restraint on the pitch on a lighter side any one seen this (know its trolling Jose but its pretty good and topical again)?
September 21, 201510 yr I'm f**king tired of it if I'm honest. When he jumped up and chest-barged Koscielny, my immediate reaction was, "What the f**k are you doing?". Seriously, it's embarrassing. Every f**king game he gets involved in this nonsense and it's becoming a running joke. Some of us want to watch football, if he's not interested in playing he should become a wrestler. I hope Jose has a seriously strong word with him now. We've lost him for three games and he's on borrowed time, because he's a marked man now, and I just don't think he can play with that level of scrutiny, because he'll have to change his game dramatically. He's got what he deserved, a three game ban, nobody can argue. It's f**king pathetic if you ask me. There'll be people saying he's shrewd, a street fighter etc. Ain't nothing smart about being banned. The biggest laugh is when he's described as a hard man. He's got problems, and he needs to sort them out, and this is where Mourinho comes in, he needs to instil a bit of discipline, he needs to do what Fergie did with a few of his bad boys, channel that aggression constructively, remove the excesses. Let's not go around blaming other people. This is all Diego's fault.

September 21, 201510 yr He's been sh*t this season so far anyway so I doubt we'll miss him much. Think long and hard about what you did Diego.
