They have no one else. I think the deal is dependent on them getting the replacement, but it wouldn't shock me to find out that the financials have been agreed

I don't think it's going to happen, and if it had been already agreed there is no way stones would risk missing out on the transfer by getting injured.

I also don't think everton would risk him if they had agreed a transfer, what if he got a career ending injury?

This one is a long way off imo, everton signed another young centre back from Barnsley this week, but I don't see that as an indication stones is on his way.

I think we need Kenedy or moses more then we do stones this season 34 and the deal is done

I think we'll get him on close to deadline day. I can't imagine thatt we've gone through all this and the club not pushing it through.

An extra £5m on player that could play for over 10 years is worth it.

Have you missed the fact that FFP doesn't really exist anymore? Investors are highly welcomed in europen football since then.

Not really over spending when all three of those players could arguably be there for the next ten years.

It's investing in the future of the team which is exactly what we are trying to do with Rhaman and Stones.

I think this deal is dead...certainly from an Everton standpoint but if Chelsea haven't said they have given up their pursuit to sign him so I guess they are trying to come up with a number. But I would like to know how the papers know what we are bidding and the fact that Everton will turn it down....or is that pure speculation?

Think stones would start for us by xmas.

Rahman is probably more important than stones at this time. I'm not sure how we'd gradually introduce both Zouma and Stones this season. Would rather see Zouma get as many mins as he can for now.

How about we just put down a straight 40mill offer? If everton turn it down then we know they will not sell him to us, period. Then we have time to find a different option.

Think today's defensive display just added another five million on to Stones' transfer fee. Marina will be told to do the deal for 35m. If they say no, we'll have to try and outbid City for this Otamendi guy.

 

After that we're into panic buy territory. In which case I’d rather we recalled Kalas.

If we need to make panic buys, let's hope we spend on midfield and attacking areas. I like Stones, but there are more urgent issues to resolve.
