Pellegrini is sh*te in Europe.

He's also a boring old fart with no charisma. Doesn't exactly play the youth either.

He also underperforms with top squads.

Conte probably. Managed to get 102 points at Serie A, knows how to use youth, tactically versatile, generally likable character. Might not be as good as Pep at City but that's alright.

Allegri would be a decent shout too

Pep would be beautiful. He's the best possible option if we want youth played. Saying that if roman insists youth to be played then any coach should do it.

He's overrated IMO, his tactics become stale far to quickly

Might be available after the Euros. Hasn't exactly managed outside of Italy but he's had some good experiences at Juve and has managed some pretty big personalities in Tevez, Vidal, Pogba etc. Exciting manager.

Nobody, it's that kind of a job unfortunately. Managers wants different challenges and keep motivated too. Look at someone like Pep. He's having it easy at Bayern, now he's bored and want try something else.

Why not Steve Holland? So he doesn't have 'proven experience' but always seems to come across well in the press conferences. Would like to think he'll become more involved with Hiddink overseeing things until the summer. While I don't know how much influence he has, I get the impression that his work at the club is underrated.

I'm surprised Ronald Koeman has not been mentioned yet. He has done a fantastic job at Southampton, got them playing good football, plus unearthed some real gems in the transfer market ...

If it was to be someone from the PL, then he would be right up there for consideration with Pochettino ?

At least he's willing to mix things up like by playing Lahm as a DM, but choosing to play 3 at the back in the Nou Camp against Messi/Neymar/Suarez was one of the worst decisions i've ever seen in a match.

Well, for the near decade between Mourinho's spells here, we only won 2 major prizes(BPL/CL) and a few semi-major (FA's/EL). Yet only the BPL/FA was won under a "long-term" manager, the rest under interms......plus the season after said "long-term" manager was sacked despite finishing second (and on pace to win it before he assistant was sacked without his consent)....

Long live the interim position?

Duncan castles has a decent hit rate with us lately..called falcao before most.

I'd not mind pellegrini in all honesty..He ticks the boxes

Honestly if we are going to appoint someone from within the PL then I would rather Claudio came back. We know he can set the foundations, he did for the team Jose et al took on to win many honors.

However I can see why this appointment would make sense. He would not go against Roman, and would cause no fuss in the media or else wise for us. Appealing features to Roman.

Even more important, the majority of our fan base would not have very strong feelings for or against him, so no Jose or Rafa too him. Meaning if he fails, none of this reaction like with Jose.

Pellegrini would be hugely underwhelming.

He's been shocking this season with the squad and money he's spent plus in Europe he's basically a dud.

There's a reason City are looking to replace him

Pellergrini only won that league title because Jose did the job at Anfield for him. His european record is miserable with the team he got, tactics are naive at best.  We need to give him 100M a year in transfer if we expect anything out of him. Jose didn't get that much support in the transfer market, why should Pellergrini get it?

We need to find a Gandalf and show Emenalo the door. I really don't like the dude, why didn't he resign back in 2013?

That clearly bit us in the ass, damn it!

Pellegrino could be a Wenger; nice attacking footie, but losing the big games, especially in Europe, no thanks.

Not even half way through the season and not only does Pellegrini apparently have no chance of keeping his job but he's also already agreed to come here. Incredible how fast things move.

Imagine, we could have the reigning PL and CL winning manager at Chelsea next season!

JT, Lamps, and/or Didier might be good options later down the road (heck, maybe even Petr; he knows, at least, half a dozen languages, is probably the least controversial of all the players Chelsea has ever had, and even stepped in as captain when both JT and Lamps were out injured), but not now.
