If the ball had hit his other hand I would have expected a penalty to be given, the ball hit the hand he was using to protect his face. Would be extremely harsh to give that but it did deny a goalscoring opportunity so who knows really.

I agree. I always turn it around and if I would have been annoyed if the pen was given against us, then it probably isn't one. Plus I don't want to see a game where everyone has their hands by their sides the whole time.

How is that an excuse ? you can't just block the ball with your hand because the ball is heading towards your face.

Bit of a pendulum of a game really. They totally dominated the early stages but then we started to boss it. Not a lot in it now and I think both teams are showing the other too much respect.

 

I pray Guus decides to go for 3 points rather than be happy with another 0-0 and makes some positive changes EARLY in the second half. Put Hazard and Traore on to WIN the game!

That was not hitting his chest if his arm wasn't there, it was going past him and in to the net.

The view from behind the goal showed it would have been past him.

Appalling performance but it was expected given the line up.

Let's don't talk about the penalty, most of us  think it was a pen, but we certainly don't deserve anything from this first half.
