Hopefully we don't end up losing Christensen, Dave and Rudiger for a free in the summer. That would be a disaster.

Agreed but their history offers them some pull, though I would expect Real to have the better chance.

All Dave, Toni and Andreas have to do is delay signing till Jan and they can listen to a host of offers.

And let's not forget the itk world reported that Winjham had already signed for Barca a day before he signed for PSG. So even though is widely reported Andreas has agreed and is all but signed he still is not signed yet.

I would actually be more worried about PSG if anything..  Part of the craze about Barca was playing with Messi .. Neymar 

I am sure not many are dying to play with Depay and the 18 yr olds yet

Lol true. Have not read about PSG being interested in Dave or Andreas however they have been said to have offered Toni a huge deal to leave.

I am the one who has doubted him the a lot .. and I am glad he is proving me wrong .. I believe I have called him weak and not a real defender ... I don’t think he has anything to prove to me .. for would love to see if this improvement can be carry forwarded to a back 4 too.

Contract talks have stalled apparently. 

Not good news at all. Every single CB have is quite literally out of contract in just over six months as we speak.

Hopefully it all works out but it could literally become a complete disaster if we can't sort it out.

Makes complete sense to me that AC, like Rudi, wants to get to Jan and come back to Chelsea and say "Hey look, here is an official offer for me earning Y amount, when you have only offered me x".

Both of them feel undervalued, both are playing key roles under TT and both have been offered deals to stay among the lowest earners.

Simple case if we want them to stay we have to pay. Being part of the best PL defence makes their case as well.

According to our fanbase on twitter though, we didn't need Kounde we needed to buy another DM instead, great logic.

If we want Kounde he has a release clause, very simple.

If we want AC and Rudi to stay then we have to pay them too. They want to stay, I really believe that, but not so much that they will turn down an extra half or double your money elsewhere.

I love the confidence he showed on the ball today. Was very calm passing or dribbling the ball out from the back. He even had two long range efforts. 😄

Just another usual stellar assured performance from him 🙂 Our central defenders have the sort of passing ability that many clubs' midfielders do not have!

Really like the way he has improved his anticipation of situations. I'm not sure if it's a Thiago Silva effect or something, but he is so good at snuffing out half-chances and covering his teammates. He has speed to back himself up too when he gets it wrong, but he so rarely needs to use it.

Yes, I wonder whether we will ever really know how much of a role Thiaga Silva has played in elevating Christensen and Rudiger (positionally) to the next level. Or was it just a matter of time and a good coach.

It's always down the player most of all.

A good teammate beside you and even coach can only take you so far. Terry and Silva between them couldn't smooth Luiz's rough edges for years.

I think Thiago did corral Luiz a good bit when they partnered at PSG, No?

While PSG remain in the lead for Toni, Real are head of the que for AC. They are said to see him as the one they want as long term replacement of Varane, and have apparently trumped our 140k a week offer with basically 220k.

Think we are in a bit of trouble with his  contract extension, just leave it too late now his agent holds all the cards. Just give him what he wants and get it over with, it's the cheaper and better option compares to a new signing.
