The part don't get is, if he is so intent on leaving and it's decided, why is he even doing this? If he left us in the summer with us in a solid top 4 place he would still have been a hero with the fans and his stock would arguably be even higher cause of the not so great circumstances. He has proven he can get great performances out of flawed squads, so if he's going, why is he not focusing ALL his energy on going out in a blaze of glory? If he is that desperate to stick two middle fingers up to Roman and the hierarchy, what better way than walking away with a CL medal round his neck? That way all parties would get something out of this.

And the hardest thing to take from all of this is we were in a strong position in January, we were comfortably in top 4 and it looked very likely we would finish 2nd (United were flaking and Spurs/Liverpool were at arms length), but Conte had another episode and now we look certain to be playing Thursday nights next season. If Conte left in December i would have been devastated, if he leaves now i'd happily offer to clear his desk myself.

I actually think Conte would have been much better off if he left last summer when it was made clear to him that the board wouldn't get him the players he'd expected. I'd have respected his decision under the circumstances, as I'd imagine most CFC fans would and he would have left with his reputation intact and a head held up high. Instead they offered him more money without extending his contract, so basically he stayed for money.

But even if he did stay only because they offered him more money, then why bitch and moan for months about how hard your life is as a Chelsea manager? Either leave on a high and show that you're a man of principle or take the money, shut the f**k up and get on with the job. You can't have it both ways.

I've defended him since his first summer at the club and still feel that the board let him down in the transfer market, but Antonio didn't do himself any favours this season. His behaviour has been appaling and the team suffered because of it.

BIB. Exactly!

We can't even compete with the worst Arsenal side the league has seen in twenty years. Demoralised players, Terrible tactics and non existent substitutions.

He's started to believe his own hype and been nothing but a negative aspect this season. Can't wait until we're shot of him.

Liverpool are losing, we’re 7 points behind them.

They lose today, we beat Palace we’ll be 4 points behind but get to play them at Stamford Bridge.

Conte, you MUST deliver a win today!

Yes. That was probably the best result for us today being that we still have to play Liverpool. But we still need to take advantage of their defeat.

It's still in their hands though, even if we do beat them. They need to slip up twice more and we need to win all of our games. It's highly unlikely that both of these things will happen.

Please do not forget how much money Conte makes. He is one of the highest earners of our club. For me he has always been professional so I really question he would shoot himself in the leg, in any way. I can't really see who is better coach for us atm. I really hope he stays beyond this season.

Professional? Seriously?

Since the end of last season, all he has done is moan and bitch about the club. Has had a falling out with Costa/luiz and now seems to have had a falling out with hazard. I would hardly call his behaviour "professional".

Yeah...he's a professional.

all he has done....sweet hitchens

perhaps with your constant hyperbole & bitching talk chelsea would be more your sort of environment. What say you think about that & the drivel that you post.

Has anyone noticed Conte doesn't go on the pitch after matches anymore

Not that so much, more that he does not celebrate with so much enthusiasm and gesticulations.

Not sure if it is a reaction to JM suggesting he was a clown or more to do with the fact that following the 'poor' transfer activity in Jan he is depressed or just wants out?

A professional who consistently moans and bitches about the players he has? I am sure the likes of barkley and DD would be filled with extreme confidence hearing the manager say that I did not get the players that i wanted.

Give me the link to the last post i made about talk chelsea. Seems you have been waiting a looong time to take this dig at me. Sour grapes??

I am fine with the drivel I post. You should worry about yours.

You're calling him unprofessional while making HUGEEE leaps that he's fallen out with Hazard and all these players.

If a player falls out with a manager it must mean the manager is automatically unprofessional? Should the manager just kiss every player's arse then? I definitely can't see that philosophy going wrong.

He has a right to speak his mind on transfers and I think he has been a bit unprofessional, but if that's what we deem as an unprofessional manager these days then what is a professional manager? Even Pep Guardiola was complaining about transfers this season.

Do you really think there has been no falling out with luiz? And that Luiz has actually been injured since the Roma debacle? Dont think thats a huge leap under any circumstance.

He is unprofessional. Whatever his disgruntlement with the club and the players, that should have been kept internal rather than parading that as an excuse.

Again, simple question, what happens to a players' confidence when his own new manager consistently and continously berates the players he has or has got? I would say that is the epitome of unprofessional management.

I did not see Pep insistently complaining about the transfers. I remember him taking the blame too when he lost, and never ever trying to hold on to a 1-0 deficit the way conte did against city. I am no Pep fan, but some of Conte's behaviour and actions have been absolutely and completely unprofessional.

Huge difference in the way that Pep Guardiola has been bankrolled at City compared to Conte at Chelsea though, that's a pretty apples and oranges comparison.

I did not bring in the Pep comparision. Simply putting in a point that even if Pep complained it was one-tenth as frequent as Conte's complaining.

Then if that's your logical rebuttal, his post still applies to your reasoning. Pep has had huge transfer backing and still had the audacity to go on about transfers, every manager in the league has complained about transfers at some point.
