Romelu Lukaku

No I said Morata is nothing like Costa. He isnt. Morata is nothing like Lukaku either.

He's nothing like Auba either... or Zlatan... or Rashford... or Aguero. I get it. Agree to disagree, I think he's pretty similar to Costa only better at the things Costa struggles with like aerial duels and taking players on. They both work without the ball, unlike Lukaku. They even both get fouled at the same rate, Lukaku doesn't have that artfulness to his game. They are similar positionally as well, their shot maps look almost identical.

Costa

Morata

Morata is better or smarter at shooting from both outside and inside the area than Deigo and Lukaku; though Lukaku shoots from range more often than both. Lukaku likes to be more involved and at a deeper position than either of them which could be the reason for his lower pass accuracy, Costa and Morata are at 75% and 78% respectively.

To my eyes Lukaku doesn't have artfulness of Costa and is more selfish and doesn't work as hard off the ball.

But he's got more energy on the ball, more power, and probably a better shooter. He will do less general play but can arguably be just as or more effective at least for a couple of seasons.

Think it was more Lukaku than Jose who made the decision to go, luckywerthers.

Fingers crossed United gazump us to him, I don't care if it makes Conte unhappy I don't want to see him here.

I'd be happier with anyone else.

If he goes to Utd then we have to take a risk on someone like Belotti. Who knows who we are after these days. It feels like there's a limited supply of quality strikers out there right now and there's not one who you can say you have full confidence to spend 70-80 million on.

Will be fuming if he goes United. Would put us in a such a dilemma. But for United to have Morata and Lukaku would be ludicrous on our part. I hope by tomorrow this rumour turns out to be bullsh*t because right now Lukaku is the best possible striker for us to get in terms of realism.

I don't see a problem with it if we sign Belotti, who I believe is a much better fit then Lukaku and Morata for our attack.

United rumours are all around the news... He also with Pogba in the LA now, so maybe he has been linked with them seriously.

Him and Pogba are buddies plus they share the same agent hence why media is putting "two and two" together

Everton are the only winners here, there is not one other club in the world that would consider paying more than £60m for Lukaku.

It's pathetic but you know it basically boils down to trying to score one over the other.

If we sign him, the line will be that "the individual" never gave him a look-in and basically forced him out.

If United sign him, the line from Jose will be that it was a club decision to sell him and if had been up to him he never would have sold him.

I`m pretty sure this is false rumours. He won`t go for United. Whatever some media are reporting. This is probably coming from Everton, so his price get up.

The only interested side in Lukaku is us and Everton not have much choices.
Our idi*** board should just send 60mln. offer and tell Lukaku to do the rest. They have no chance, no other team is interested, his contract expiring in 2019, Lukaku want to go and they promise him, they also spend money for 2 transfer windows.
No way in hell he will stay there. Just send them a 60mln. offer and wait, untill they accept it.

If United want to spend £100m on him then good luck to them and well done Eversh*te...it could be a tactic to put pressure on Real for Morata too...my instinct is not to panic but wait it out and see what happens...certainly I would be gutted if we ended up in a bidding war with manure that sees dollar signs appear in Eversh*te's eyes...

Yeah this is ome of two things, A) Everton are trying to rattle our cage a bit to make us pony up or B) its United trying to tell Real that they will move on from Morata.

I think the former. If i am not wrong, then there were links about 2 weeks ago that Chelsea had joined the Morata race which apparently upped his price by 10mil pounds. I think this is similiar to that.

how much did we sell lukaku for? any other oldies here remember when we sold le saux (rent boy ) for 5 mill and bought him back for 20 odd !! another great bit of business

You've got your numbers hopelessly wrong. I don't remember the actual figures as reported, and can't be bothered to look them up, but £5m is more like the amount we paid to re-sign Le Saux. Certainly it was nowhere near £20m which, if true, would have been a world record transfer fee at the time.

Even though both you and I would defend your right to say it, you should not escape ridicule for that piece of homophobic crap. I guess you're OK associating yourself with this stupid line of thought, and I suppose that you won't give a hoot about my criticism. People interested in sensible ways of looking at the world however can only hope you'll come to see things differently at some point.

I rolled my eyes when I saw the United story, but I'm chuckling now.

Clearly not a 'done deal' like a lot have said. Everton seem ok with spending all the money before they've got it though.

One things for sure, the attention loving slag Lukaku will be enjoying all this, isn't that right @DonAntonio
