Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea

Comments made before he moved suggesting Spurs would be unsuitable from a financial perspective

Despite apparent registered interest, he moves to the club without CL football or the new stadium coming, why?

He probably chose us over Spurs for the sake of his friends.

The season ticket prices in Spurs' shiny new stadium was probably what made it "unsuitable from a financial perspective".

I don't get this negativity. According to our friend YouTube(as unreliable as it can be) he has the qualities we want. He is quick, has tricks, is very direct and best of all has a good frame and actually uses it to brush off opponents.

I think he'll be good. Probably not right off the gates but later in the season.

Indeed has a shade of the great man to his game, playing in a two next year should help him adjust quicker as well.

It's also startling to see a few on here write the lad off before he's even arrived.

Seriously. I know almost nothing about him, but there's only so much to be said before he's even kicked a ball for us; until then I'll try to keep as open-minded about him as possible.

He's not a flashy name. If you're not named Morata this window then you must be horrible.

On the money thing-

Chelsea are still a really good team for established young players to join this season, at least from a financial perspective. With Conte at the helm, Chelsea are the mostly likely out of Arsenal/Spurs/Leicester/Liverpool to return to the top table in the CL next season. However, agents can leverage this season to get a better wage deal for their clients than usual as Chelsea are in a weaker bargaining position.

For example, Batsuhayi will probably earn 10-20k/week more as a key signing for us this season as opposed to a backup plan if we were top of the world.

With this type of player there will always been comparisons to depths, but they drog was so much more then his ability , even when he was not scoring freely he could move an entire stadium , he was a larger then life character and I think that was most evident in his season back with us compared to last year . I think let MIchy be MIchy... There was only one drog

They are probably a sport performance tracker of some type.  Distance covered, avg speed, something like that.  If they are actually for support only, well then I'm astonished.

It would seem they have a purpose whilst doing 'under load' excersies..
