who else is feeling more skeptical about winning the league as each fixture approaches?

Spurs will drop points to Leicester, Arsenal, Utd and Hull, I dont know will they draw the games or lose but they wont win all 8.

Of that I'm confident, I just hope we have enough in the tank to get over the line from here.

I do not think we can rely on spurs dropping points any where, i think they are arguably the best side in the prem at the moment and i can see them even beating their bogey team arsenal. The cup game will show who is the better side out of us and them but i think spurs losing it will damage them more than chelsea losing, as long as chelsea still have a half decent points leads going into the semi final.

Spurs are doing us a favour. Now before you shout me down, isn't it good that we have a team keeping us on our toes and preventing complacency? I won't tempt fate by saying how much sweeter an eventual victory would be.

Interesting spurs change personnel less than us. Injuries are starting to mount for them. We have Moses out at the moment and Zouma with a slight problem. We will see who can handle the task of playing every game for them. We make subtle changes with Pedro, Willian, Matic, if others are rested or injured.

While I wouldn't call it a favor I do think Spurs are giving us a push by winning their matches. Regardless of their form we still have to win 6 to finish top, having someone lurking behind may be a good thing for some of the players to stay hungry.

Every match will be nervy for us from here on and hopefully we approach them all with the mentality that they are all must win.

This kind of run was perfect Jose, he'd lock down games and we'd win 1-0.

I'm very confident that Conte will get a similar mindset from the players, the majority of this squad have PL medals so know what its like going into the final weeks of the season, we need our big game heads on and in Conte, you've a manager and player, whos been there and got the medals to prove it.

As he said himself, Juventus also threw away a league title from a huge lead so he has that bitterness to fight against too.

Spurs are playing at 12.30 so the lead will more than likely be 4 points by the time we play so we have to respond in kind and beat Bournemouth who put in a good display at Anfield, it wont be easy but I'm confident of a win.

All the pressure is on Spurs they know they have to be near faultless to win the title, any slip from them and its game over.

We almost certainly will not win every game in the run in......

But the bottom line is neither will spuds, and we have the cushion of at least 2 slip ups... THEY DON'T

So we will win it the day they drop their first points, I really do believe that.

Would like to think that Spu*s will drop points somewhere, but think we have to work on the basis that they could win all 8 of their remaining fixtures which means we have to win 6 and it doesn't matter what they do.

I do agree with what you're saying. Basically if we win our games it doesn't matter what Spurs do.

That said, I can't see them winning all of their remaining games, it would mean they went on a 13 game winning streak which would match the record breaking run we went on this season.

They will almost certainly drop points, their games against Arsenal and Manchester United being the most likely. But they've got to play against the much improved Palace and Hull sides and even their game against 10th placed Watford isn't a given.

Safe to say I think there's a few twists and turns left for both us and them.

I think a lot is done if we can beat Bournemouth tomorrow. Even if Tottenham beats Watford at home as they should.

If we maintain our 7 point lead past tomorrow we could afford to lose two out of our final three away games as long as we win our home games.

Indeed and let's hope they are good twists for us and bad turns for them!!

i will put it this way, I am not sketical but i am scared.

In the NBA, Golden State were up 3 - 1 vs the Cleveland Cavaliers needing only 1 more win to be the champions. The Cavaliers came back to win 3 more games and win it all. Something that has never been done.

In MLB, The Cleveland Indians were up 3 - 1 vs the Chicago Cubs needing only 1 more win to be the champions. The cubs came back to win it all.

In NFL, The Atlanta Falcons had an almost insurmountable 28-9 lead over the New England Patriots needing only to kill time for 1 quarter to be the champions. The Falcons could not protect that lead and the Patriots came back in the final quarter to win it.

This really has been a good year for the underdogs and a strange year in sports from an observational stand point with the champions elect always losing to the underdogs. Now we are being crowned champions elect. I just dont want those stories to include us as well. I will be very happy if we go on to win the remaining games and the Spurs lose/draw a few so we can seal the crown.

No-one cares about American sports.

Spurs' form is looking ominous at the moment, whilst we look shaky going forward and at the back. I don't know what happened to our swagger but we need to get it back ASAP.

Diego really needs to pull his finger out and grab a couple of goals. He look so nailed on for the Golden Boot before his head was turned.

We're almost carrying him at the moment. Please for the love of God start Batshuayi.

I think so as well, because I doubt Spurs will continue their winning form for much longer. They have a difficult periode soon, with games against Crystal Palace(A), Arsenal(H), West Ham(A) and United (H)

Tottenham WILL drop points. They may even collapse like last year (sshhhh it still hurts laughing about it).

We do not collapse anymore when the league is in sight. Yes the odd game may slip and Palace at HOME was shocking but I still believe winning the league by 7 or 9 points is realistic.

HAVE FAITH. KTBFFH.

Skeptical for what?  If we were 7 behind an in form city with 8 games to go, and try only has really 1 hard game left would we realistically be expected to catch them? No it would be an extremely long shot and that's what it is fur Tottenham, its paranoia that makes us think we haven't basically won it let alone thinking we will sink now, it 999 out of 1000 we win the title can the 1 in 1000 happen? Yes but will it, barring a complete melt down no one thinking rationally would think so. Let's put it this way if you put 20 quid on us winning at the bookies you will win 1 pound, does that not say enough? To win 100 quid you would need to put down 2 grand...everyone is certain we have won but us

The basic difference is those were one to one match ups. Here our paths are independent and one cannot directly change the fortunes of the other.

Travesty if we throw this to the Spuds, we will never be made to forget it......

We're still in control of our destiny.

Just need to take it one game at a time and not look too far ahead. Never has there has been a more important time for our leaders to reinforce this message.
