Last thing we need to is Willy in, then out, then in, then out, then in, then out, then in, then out, then in, then out, then in, then out, then in....then hes done.

May 22, 20206 yr Willy knows his place as a backup keeper. He doesn't expect anything else than a game here and there. Kepa is our number one and Willy supports him. Kepa has the skills to be top 5 in the world but he needs to sort out some of his shortcomings like crosses, positioning, basically claiming his area. He is too kind to opposition players.Willy seems like a great personality and willing to help Kepa in this journey. Can't do much better with a backup like him.

One of the top clubs in Europe, and we have Kepa as number 1 and Willy as number 2, someone is definitely not doing their job on recruitment over the last couple of years. As for Kepa having all the skills to be in the top 5 keepers in the world, I'm sorry, but there isn't one attribute he has that I think even gives him the oppurtunity to be in the top 5 keepers in the premiership. At present he is in the bottom 5 of the premiership, and that is on a very good day.
May 22, 20206 yr I wouldn't say he's bottom 5 but yeah I think no club in the world around our level has a keeper of his level -- he's definitely in his own (low) tier in that regard. Edited May 22, 20206 yr by MANoWAR
July 19, 20205 yr I wonder if he will play in the final. I would say that he has earnt his spot in the starting 11.
July 19, 20205 yr It’s amazing how solid a keeper looks when we have an organized defence and our midfield outworks the opposition. Don’t think he did anything that Kepa couldn’t have done as well or better today. But no mistakes, so well done to Wilfredo.

July 20, 20205 yr I think he should start the last two EPL matches and the FA Cup final. He is not particularly good. His best trait is, by far, his deep ball passing. He is accurate on those plays and likes to do those deep passes, even if they are not ideal in such a situation. With that said, he does not make the mental mistakes that Kept does, and while those mistakes are fine against Crystal Palace, they will not be against Liverpool or Wolves. I think going with a more veteran defense, like Frank did yesterday, will help against both teams' counterattacks.

The last time we played them in the Premier League, Kepa underperformed. Point being, I am not convinced that the FA Cup match was not an outlier, nor do I believe he is in good form since the restart.
June 4, 20215 yr Good luck to him. Hard to be a number 3 goalkeeper. You train all week, travel home and away do the warm up and then sit in the stand and watch the game. Having to keep focus in case of injury or illness on day of the game.
June 4, 20215 yr Does this mean we're signing a new banter number 3? Or better, Kepa goes there and we sign a new number 2.
