Apparently Eversh*te have turned down our £25m offer for him...I just hope that The Spuds don't get drawn into a bidding war...he's only worth £25m tops now and £8m in January...

Those plonkers turned down our bid. They know we're desperate and all these pisspot clubs gonna hold us to ransom. What a shambles! 

On BBC that they've rejected £25m. Prob just holding out for more money. I reckon £30m will get him. 

Isn't he out til January? Please pass and get someone useful. Please just be another instance of using us to raise prices

Cant see us paying that. Will prob end up being £30-35m. 

Surely Barkley would go to Spurs?

If he's out til Christmas just sign him in January for next to nothing. 

25m would have been the absolute maximum, considering his contract, injury and actual ability. I say move on.

The good news is the Levy won't overpay for anyone...can't see him getting drawn into a bidding war for Barkley...

I think we are going to regret leaving it late. Clubs know we are desperate and will demand more.

Well Spurs don't do bidding wars, so no point Everton expecting them to gazump us. 

Could be that we offer closer to £30m or just the way we structure the deal (less add-ons, more money up front). 

Everton want shot of him so and have been quite vocal about that.

Never sign a player on long term injury, unless he's one of a kind, and Barkley is not that. What's the point spending that much money and just to see him lying in sick bed, I'm sure Everton's medical room has a bed for him. We are desperate, but sign a player we can't use until end of this year ( or more) it's just madness.

Not really a long term injury though is it, it's just a hamstring injury. 

Hazard has just been out for 3 months with an ankle injury and I didn't think of that as being long term.

I thought he was out until at least January, which means mid-February before he could be up to full match fitness.  That's a long-term injury to me.
