    You can laugh all you want, he is quite clearly a superb player who is rightfully labeled a star. Evertons best player by quite some margin. 

    I actually dont think he would be that good of a signing. He is pretty much a carbon copy of Kanté. 

    "star" is such a subjective saying. No doubt he's a handy player though...

    To me it means a player whos among the best in the league at his position, but I realise now that some in here thinks it means a player thats "popular" so star was probably the wrong word.

    It means the same to me too. On the other hand, I think the label "sh*t" player is tossed around too much these days. A player can be not as good as some player but they're not sh*t.

    It's meant in relitive terms, obviously they can play football as they are getting paid full time to do so but if were judging a player by PL standard and they fall far from requirement then they are "sh*t" on those relitive terms.

    I agree he is not a top talent, but he is a good player who can do a decent job. 

    CM is the most needed position for us. Drinkwater for 30mil may not be the best solution but given the circumstances and the condition, its not a bad one either.

    If we still had Nat on our books, I would be hating this transfer, but we simply dont have a Youth player who can play this role (a DM rather than cesc type player [RLC can be a cesc replacement but we need a more defensive minded midfielder for Kante and Baka cover]).

    But very very few numbers. Including cesc, we have 10 players for 7 positions (GC, DL, Rudi, AZpi, Andreas, Moses, Alonso, Kante, Baka, Cesc). 

    Even if each player could play in each position, thats still a really small squad. Need a CM to come through and probably Baba to step up. 

    We had Chalobah and RLC with us, now we're preparing to bid 30m for a player on their position. Both of them are proving themselves, especially Chalobah from the last season. 

    Real Madrid playing Asensio, Vasquez.

    Monaco playing Mbappe, Lemar.

    PSG playing Rabiot, Kimpembe.

    United playing Rashford.

    Liverpool playing Joe Gomez, Alexander-Arnold.

    Spurs playing Kane, Alli, Dier.

    Only we have to lose our best prospects, I hate it!

    Are you kidding me ? 

    1) Monaco and Spurs always play younger players. Especialy Monaco, it's their trademark, so no comparison.
    2) Rashford started playing because there was no alternative for Van Gaal at the moment.
    3) Chalobah wanted regular game time, like starting matches and staying on the pitch for longer than 45min. Would you put Nate on instead of Bakayoko, Fabregas or Kante ? 

    Not overly keen on this one now the ox looks done. Surely 30m would be better spent on another wing back or towards players like Lemar. This feels like it's purely down to him being English
