Sorry, for me Kenedy is nowhere near good enough defensively for this game.

That will be a decision that will easily see us lose the game without even having kicked a ball.

If we dont want Alonso playing, then Azpi should be playing as a LWB.

Your'e worried about Alonso at LB, but you would replace him with Kennedy. 

Now unless in the last 2 weeks he has miraculously transformed into a LB who can defend, why would you do that ?

Has Alonso leaked any goals down the left wing yet ? Not like has hasn't played in some big games, Spuds, Arse, Stoke away, Everton, none of them scored against us (bar OG).

Got a bloody good left foot as well.

David Luiz has never been good in the DM position, I wouldn't want him there.

I think 100% we have to focus on this game and play our best team without thinking ahead to the city game. Conte has rotated a bit recently anyway and can make a call after the game as to the best available 11 for city. Having been out of Europe it's important we show we're back and hopefully make Europe take note of us as contenders.

i think conte may go Cahill over rudi, especially as we'll probably be quite deep. I think I prefer Zappa over Moses, I think Zappa quicker which might go well on break but wouldn't mind if Conte plumps for Victor either. Christensen will be back for City but pretty sure Conte will go with experience of Luiz tonight.

The two teams I reckon Chelsea would find them hard to beat are Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. You could possibly throw in PSG too. Atletico are so well organised that they are hard to break down. I'd play five across the midfield, Rudiger and Dave a central defender of choice, Tibo in goal and Hazard and Morata upfront. Very tough match coming up. If we get a draw I will be happy. Let's hope we do. COME ON YOU BLUES !!!

Alonso has been playing lots of matches since the beginning of the season and I want him fully fit for Saturday. I don't give a f**k if we lose this game as am certain we will win the return leg at the Bridge. But I won't take even a point against City. We must get maximum points so I want the players that are important to our game plan to be fully fit on Saturday.

Your points about free kicks actually gave me a second thought about Alonso yet am still not sure he can be 100% in this match and against City.

I have to totally disagree w/ that bit. Remember the match @ Wembley vs spuds? Remember Side Show Bob breaking up that spudz counter & started the play to win the match? That was from a DM  (AKA wrecker) position. Remember that masterclass that Jose put out in a visit to The Eithad back in the 13/14 season? Side Show Bob was paired up with Matic & Ramires in the middle of the park. Side Show Bob can do a job in the middle of the park.
