He's one of the most talented players to come through our youth team. If he is sold without being given a chance, when big clubs like Bayern bidding clearly shows how much potential he has, then I'm just done even learning the names of the youth team players, none of them will ever make it under this board and management system.

We have to keep this kid.  The young English/homegrown base we would have would be very good and he's arguably the best of them:

CHO

Abraham

Mount

RLC

Christensen

Possibly Reece James

Throw Barkley in there too, if you want (I wouldn't)

Still trying to work out why people moan and get upset by pure speculation. CHO ain't going nowhere!

Perhaps along with Chelsea Match Chat and General Chelsea we should also have a Chelsea Moan area where people can barf off to their heart's content?

I'm not giving up hope yet!

I'm really not sure where the risk would be in giving him a run of starts ... none of the wingers we have are undroppable, and most have output that is decidedly average, if not below average. We are crying out for pace and flair to hurt teams with, and this kid seems to have both.

Sub him after 60 minutes if necessary, but why not give him a go ?

He may turn out crap, but Bayern want our unproven 18yo for over 30m, if they want to gamble with him, we should keep him for the next 18 months, play him as much as possible and try to get out of him what Bayern Munich see in him (and some of us fans).

I don't think Chelsea ever comments on stuff like that. You only ever hear official signing announcements. Robinho was the first and last time I recall them ever doing anything of the sort.

The problem is his contract runs out in 2020, so either we sell now for £30m+ or risk him leaving for next to nothing next summer.

Latest rumours from Sky Germany are he's rejected our contract offer and handed in a transfer request.

EXACTLY.

Sometimes youngsters have to wait due to the quality in front of them but for CHO, he is looking on, seeing us struggle to create and break teams down and probably thinking, "I could do better than them" and he would have a point.

This lad is quality, so much so that Bayern Munich are willing to spend serious money on him whilst completely ignoring the fact that Pulisic was also available, a player who they would have seen up close but clearly don't rate enough to sign, which does disturb me somewhat.

Really hope our Club don't f**k this up.

I think the bookies at skybet have it wrong, 7/4 cho stays at Chelsea 2/5 he leaves, i whacked £40 on 7/4, no way he leaves this window, imo.

Might never happen, but if it does it will hardly be surprising or outrageous. The club has sold on some 'proper' players for a song in the last few seasons (without buy back clauses) and in the board's FFP compliance eyes the 30 mill would lessen the expense of purchasing CP or any other target they may have in mind for this open window.

I highly doubt that CHO has handed in a transfer request. He’s a Chelsea fan and has been with us for years – there must be some loyalty there. I can only guess but I imagine that in an ideal world for CHO he’ll be playing regularly for Chelsea, winning trophies, and improving to be one of the best players in Europe.  It’s all about game-time. If he starts getting minutes for us there is no way he’ll want to leave. The only other slight worry I have is an agent putting pressure on him to leave so they can earn a fat wedge in commission.

Of course it could be a ploy by his agents (family) to get an even better offer from us.

Probably would have started last night if he hadn't been injured in fairness, We are f**ked with injuries at the moment and it would be a pefect chance for him to show what he can do and cement a place in the matchday squad á la Ruben

Likelihood is that he will leave at some point but it is absolutely imperative that we put in some sort of buy back clause or first refusal of some sort within the contract.

If we're resigned to cashing in I doubt they'll be any sort of buy back, maybe a first refusal on Hummels or Lewandowski.

Is a shame if a kid being here for 11 years and is a Chelsea fan to boot does not see a future for himself here and wants to go.

Seems like a real missed opportunity.
