Brazilian blood though. Grew up on the streets of Brazil where things were tough. Morata comes across like most Spanish players, soft. He comes across like somebody who has had everything go his way to the point where he sulks when things go against him.

He has been useless this season. 

Some players just can't cut it in the PL and he may be one of them. Part of me wants to give him another season if we were to get rid of conte but then another doesnt want to go in to a new season with morata and giroud as our strikers.

He's converted 11/76 chances in the PL this season (14.5%) vs Harry Kane's 25/168 (14.9%).

I don't hear anyone saying that Harry Kane can't finish, and yet his conversion rate is almost identical to Morata's.

The issue is the defensive unambitious way we play. We don't create nearly enough chances to score and so rely on "being clinical", which is totally unrealistic in the same way as expecting perfect defending to protect a one goal lead.

 

Most strikers would have had a hard time yesterday. 11 men behind the ball, constantly surrounded. It's the overall team play and inability to break down defensive units which is the problem. How many times did we just pass it back and forth, going nowhere? Or send a high ball in towards the strikers, only for the defenders to head it away every single time, without learning that it's not working? 

No pace, no urgency, no movement into spaces. We just are not a very good attacking side.

Stick Morata in that Tottenham side and i'd put money on he wouldn't come close to Kane's numbers though.

 it's just so predictable, pass to Hazard or go down the right then cut back. Clipping high balls into a packed box is Huddersfield bread and butter, they head them out for fun. I can't remember many clear cut chances and how anyone can critise Morata for that chance is beyond me.

Said it last night, the service for the forwards was poor. We don't get behind the oppositions defence enough, we keep cutting back inside into trouble.

I’m not a fan of Morata but I would like to see what a different manager could coax out of him.

A manager who is positive about his players and plays football the correct way.

 I’m bored to death with Conte, maybe the players are as well.

 

People saying about the Strikers getting poor service but last night Morata missed a lovely 1v1 that Kante slipped through to him and there were no end of ball fizzed across the goal mouth. I'd put money on Batshuayi would have got on the end of one of those last night.

I haven't seen that chance again, but watching last night, it was much more difficult than you are suggesting. And yes the strikers did get poor service last night, unless lumping the ball in the packed box is what is considered great service.

I wouldn't gamble on Morata leading the starting lineup next season, he's really spineless up top. Giroud who is supposed to be a renowned bottler for Le Arse is practically the kid who takes Morata's lunch money at school. 

He just isn't clinical enough, whether or not it's a mental issue I'm not sure, but a lot of players seem to be suffering from it... The person who posted that Sky source earlier, it really doesn't surprise me we are in that position. Our finishing rates are ridiculous, we seem to create a lot of chances and we can't finish them, and Morata is mostly responsible for that, the guy could have had about 20 league goals this season at the very least, he's had chances on a plate. He's definitely got the movement but my god it's like a centreback in front of goal once he gets the ball in that position.

I don't want him sold but I'm really not sure what we do next season, it really depends on what Conte does.
