Think he's a better RB than Zappacosta but not as good as Azpi. For 50m euro I think we could sign Cancelo, Bouna Sarr, or Castagne. Pass.

He has been with Sarri in his last 2 teams knows his style can play LB and RB and is still young.

I don't have an issue bringing him in, although it would mean Moses and Zappacosta being moved on, and I already think Zappacoasta would be a good enough back up for Azpi. 

Better than Zappacosta but way too expensive if we pay the release clause.

Very good defender, but agreed Dave is our right back. As I've said in other places, if Sarri became manager and attempted to shift Dave there would be more riotting than when AVB left out Lampard for Meireles.

Im judging him based off some of our past transfers. Hector, Baba, Luis.. Im sure there are more examples

Azpi is better. Hysaj is top class but why pay 50m+ for a bench player? Unless ofc we're moving on both Moses and Zap

This rumour is picking up again. Napoli have Malcuit playing well and Hysaj wants his wage doubling. Azpi seeming to struggle at RB this could be a wise move. Also allows us to ship Zappacosta off back to Italy with Lazio interested.

Depends if Napoli sell to us. I wouldn't be opposed to it. We need a fullback capable of playing Sarri's system. I think in the summer we should go for Alex Sandro though, unless Emerson looks good. 

This guy is like Sarri's son, I saw somewhere that Napoli made a deal with Sarri to not take more than Jorginho from them when he was taking over...

€50m is a bit too much IMO but he's a good player and he's 24 years old, and would make things easier for Sarri, still no matter what I'm going to miss Azpili once he stops playing for Chelsea.

Though for January's window we should really get a striker first and foremost, even if we sign only 1 player IMO that should be a striker.

If we were going to go back to Napoli again, it should be for Koudibaly.

More important positions to strengthen than right back.

After weeks of speculation Chelsea have finally been able to secure a deal for Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj, according to the Daily Star.

The defender will, according to the newspaper, cost Chelsea some £50m to bring to Stamford Bridge.

A lot of money to pay for a backup RB.  Can’t see him overtaking Azpi anytime soon, but I guess Azpi is 29 now, so it strengthens the spot for the years after, and by all accounts, he is a favorite of Sarri.

Waste a money, we don't need a right back, don't see it happeneing.

I read somewhere he can also plays on the left.

Strange signing if it happens. Already have the best right back in the league so why spend a small fortune on another one? 

Maybe Zappa and Emerson want out? Zappa isn't the long term replacement for Azpi and if his recent comments are anything to go by Sarri doesn't rate Emerson defensively.

I’m all for it. While Azpi is a brilliant defender, Sarri’s football style doesn’t suit him to be brutally honest.

Imagine having an attacking full back who knows Sarriball better than everybody? It could really make a huge difference.

Azpi can play left back or centre half.

What makes you think he's an attacking full back? From what I understand he scored a single goal in his whole career and his assists contribution isn't great, either.

The obvious positive is that Sarri knows Hysaj very well and clearly rates him because he coached him at Empoli and then signed him at Napoli.

I’ll admit I don’t really know his style, but I imagine he’ll be more suited to Sarri all than Azpi? 

Its clear some players are finding it difficult to adjust to new tactics, hopefully it will come in time for Dave but we definitely need big changes. New striker, new wingers and maybe a few defenders too. I’d say the midfield is the only place that is fine.

Ola Aina is doing really well at Torino apparently, just give him a chance next season. Home grown aswell and saves us 20-30 million.

Reece James is also apparently having an outstanding season in the Championship - I'd rather him be backup for Azpi and save the £50 million for a forward or centre back.
