In many ways Bournemouth dumping us out of the cup and freeing up our midweeks in January could turn out to be a good thing for us. But Liverpool, Spurs, and Citeh are playing CL midweek, i think Jorginhos early season mojo has dimmed a bit, why we don't cross into the box at every opportunity instead of a million passes around the area baffles me, but Sarri knows best

Surely a germ of playing idea should be apparent, if we have the wrong personnel playing how he wants, then we should worry about Kantes roll in the team, because he only comes to life in the middle of the park, he doesn't suit Right midfield, i'm hoping its still teething problems, but whole sale changes aren't going to happen or a new bunch of Sarri players aren't going to be brought in in the january window, top four is priority, but Arsenal in the mix will make things interesting

When we have a few free midweeks and especially after next pre season i will be expecting to see progression in terms of implementing Sarriball but for now he gets a pass for me. Regarding Kante he shown today he can be effective in this role, ultimately his best position doesn't exist under Sarri and id back him to master his current position over becoming a sitting DM.

I put in a post that to get Kante back as a destroyer, and still have Jorginho play as the 'Architect', try playing a back 3, then a mid field of Barclay/Kova, Jorginho, RLC, and an attacking 3
December 2, 20187 yr It is hard to find any reason to criticize Sarri. He has done amazing job with us. Some cracks are showing with our football but I really can't blame him for it. Liverpool and City are 3 seasons ahead of us in terms of integrating style of football. If we buy well in the summer we are going to be very close to that duo. We need a clinical striker to start with. Title is a pipedream this term but 3rd or 4th and good run in all the cups would make a great season.

I would not only agree with this but go as far to say that we need a striker that "leads the line". We need a presence up top that the rest of the players can believe in. Now and again there has to be the option to send the ball long knowing that the stiker will be a bully and hold the ball up bringing others into play. I know that there aren't many about but we need to get that focal point so that our nippy attacking midfielders, Hazard, Pedro, whoever we get to replace Willian () have room to move and create problems.

Abit like Costa? I don’t think there is many strikers like Costa, maybe Icardi?

But it seems these days he only turns up when it suits him and as far as I'm aware, this season he has been that poor that even Morata and Giroud look prolific compared to Costa! We did well to get that huge fee for him when we did.

I wouldn't be against us taking a punt on a relative unknown, someone like Joelinton at Hoffenheim. I don't particularly rate the likes of Icardi and Werner. Icardi is clinical in front of goal but spends a large part of every game doing the grand sum of f**k all. Edited December 5, 20187 yr by the special one

I think the money being banded about for Icardi is ridiculous. I like Werner though. I'd like us to sign that young lad from Aston Villa - Abraham. He's a physical presence up front, quick, great in the air, and is a goal machine in the championship. Plus he's only 21!
December 5, 20187 yr There's no point signing another player like Costa going into the New Year - he'll only score twice in the entire rest of the season!

How dare you want to give Sarri time to build a team dammit. I want success NOW dammit !!!!!!!

December 5, 20187 yr Whilst we’re at it let’s sign Grabban and bring in Grealish as Hazard’s replacement
December 5, 20187 yr I know Drogbas technically retired but can we fix him up with bionic legs like the six million dollar man. Edited December 5, 20187 yr by Ewell CFC

He's only 21 and has proven to be prolific in the league below us at a young age (especially for a striker). I'd rather give Tammy a chance than spend a fortune on another unproven import from abroad again. I'd also give Bats more of a chance.
