Our team played a different style of football when Essien was here that suited his person style of football. Kova & Jorginho would have been out of place playing in the teams Essien was involved in. Kante can play in any team he wants to though!

You seem to be the expert here when it comes to what is a point of a discussion, not the first time I see you moving the goal posts 

This is not your first personal insult either and to be fair if someone were to go through your own post history they will find that you are very much biased specially towards Kovacic since you tried to put down one of our own past players in a very cheeky way. When I pointed it out you just simply tried to further more diminish Essien, so it's not me that can't change my mind, it was simply not acceptable for you to say "Yes Essien could have played in our system as well, I can give credit where it's due", you're just not that kind of a MMA profile picture guy.

Adding that you had no problem with ganking up another user very fast after Kovacic scored his first goal, I don't see how you could possibly see yourself as a nice guy here, you're very agressive as soon as someone tried to be remotely objective about Kovacic.

Nope, not even going to engage with every point because you'll only misrepresent my views like you just did to me, Argo and Davey earlier. 

Truth is Michael Essien was my favourite player during 2006-2012. People gave you a good argument, your response was a 3-minute montage video and calling others fanboys which you have a habit of doing. The only person putting players down here is you, if you can find evidence of me putting Essien down then feel free, I did no such thing, he was a world class player in his prime here who stagnated due to injuries that weren't his fault. 

The whole Essien debate started in an attempt to put Kovacic down in the first place, I'm not knocking Just here but it was a pitiful attempt to undermine a player by saying "Well he's no Essien" and that's basically what it all stemmed from, at least with Just he doesn't read someone’s post then completely misrepresent it, unlike someone. You can have a reasonable debate with that person, and not get the sense as if you're speaking to someone who's 10 years old. And if my insult warrants a suspension, then so be it, I honestly couldn't help myself, you're by far the most unreasonable person on here and I've been on the other side of debate with just about everyone on this forum. 

But this is my last reply to you because I've already derailed this thread enough as it is.

He clearly has something against Kovacic (God knows why) so I get the impression he’s finding Kovacic’s top form very difficult to take. My job requires me to travel quite extensively and be away from home. I was in Wales most of this week and didn't get to see the Valencia game. Only got to see the goals yesterday and it was a great strike by Kovacic. Hopefully the first of many more to come.

I'm not sure what you want from me really. I have already said that Kova is performing a million times better than he was at any time last season and I am glad he is in the squad. Look back through this thread Dan, many people on here, not just me, didn't want us to buy him during the summer because he was consistently very poor under Sarri that is fact. For me Barkley was a better attacking option last season, and the stats backed that up. Nothing to do with your assumed Kovacic hatred or bias which you seem to be convinced I have.

Look at the end of season table here from last season on page 2 of the thread. As scored by all of us on The Shed End.

My view is, we need a major physical presence in our central midfield to dominate that area against the top teams think Essien, Viera, Keane, Ballack. Kovacic isn't that player, and nor is Jorginho. If we got that player Kovacic would be the player I would leave out to accommodate him because I think Jorginho is more influential to the type of football SFL is trying to play. That's it in a nutshell really.

What a player he has been this season, another superb game, that's why he's not getting benched. 

I think he is one of the best midfielders in the Prem. Add some goals and assists and he can't be brushed off from any 'best' list.

I keep saying it. He's world class. Rarely have I enjoyed watching a player so much.

The flashes of good we were seeing from him last season are turning into a permanent thing. Last season you would forget he was on the pitch until he was subbed off around the 70th minute, he just looks like a completely different player now.
