How many times has Petrovic been beaten from distance now ? If that had been Kepa all hell would have broken loose on here LOL
March 31, 20242 yr I thought Petrovic could have got something on the first goal, it was a good routine shot but he's already moving towards that side of the goal, and there was no bad bounce or interference. Second one was laughable, from our marking defence to the way he let the ball pop through those big gloves. It's the curse of Chelsea GK, although few expected Petrovic would even play 5 games this season at the start.
April 2, 20242 yr First Petrovic error all season and shouts for Kepa to return? Christ, what short memories certain people have.. Kepa is easily one of the worst keepers I've seen wear a Chelsea shirt in the last 2 decades.

April 2, 20242 yr Its good timing were back talking about chocolate wrists as its Easter, but like f**k should we be even contemplating bringing him back.
April 2, 20242 yr The 2nd goal on the corner was surely down to how poor we were on the corner. Noni lost his man, looked lost and others jumped aimlessly. Just no desire whatsoever to meet the ball and defend the keeper from making those saves. Edited April 2, 20242 yr by Sheva

We have been blessed with good goalies over the years and maybe he is the worst of the people before you may have seen in the past. But come on now let's be real, neither Sanchez nor Petrovic are better than Kepa.
April 2, 20242 yr We do have a way of belittling people's achievements or true value once we have gone off them. I wonder why. Not constructive for the teams benefit at all.

Kepa was absolutely dog sh*t and wouldn't even attempt to dive for the majority of goals he conceded. Small keeper, with weak wrists and poor judgement and no physical strength to claims crosses. I can't believe what i'm reading.

According to the PSxG/90 metric on FBRef, Petrovic is the 2nd worst keeper in the PL (this is probably the best metric for keepers as it basically measures goals allowed vs what a keeper should be expected to save after the shot has been taken. A positive number suggests better than average save ability and a negative worse than average. You can infer that the GKs for Spurs, Villa, Wolves, West Ham and Man United are a big part of why they are where they are in the table. They are basically keeping out a lot of shots that ought to be goals. Our two keepers, not so much ... Kepa was 3rd on this metric last season (for the benefit of those who like to slag him off).
April 2, 20242 yr Petrovic saves 80% of these BTW. Kepa can't even get serious game time over Lunin FFS.

The fact Onana is in the top 5 this season and that Kepa was in the top 3 last season nullifies your own argument here.
April 2, 20242 yr I don't think Kepa has a future here because he's likely on big wages and like Lukaku we will try our best to get rid.
April 2, 20242 yr The only thing going for Kepa is that he was a part time mechanic who kept Mod's motor on the road at mate's rates. That explains his unwavering support. Kepa is a car crash of a keeper. About as reliable as the withdrawal technique for contraception.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Lukaku for us next season, we need goals and it will save a ton of money (for those financial bods that think Chelsea's finances affect their own bank accounts)

April 2, 20242 yr Kinda crazy how people are wiped their memory of Kepa's time here outside of his last season. Calling him the worse we've had in the past 2 decades is laughable.

I'd take any of them for a season at their best over Kepa's best and i'd certainly take them at their worst over Kepa's worst.
