Massive gulf between the true fans and the bitch-whining toxic trolls on twatter and in here who displayed no loyalty, no integrity and no character, with their disgusting knee-jerk self-entitlement and their playstation football knowledge.

Those people, and you know who you are, disgust me and all true Chelsea fans,

Hide behind Lampard? WTF is that supposed to mean? Based on the past 20 years until Lampard arrived there is abolutely no reason to believe our young players will be given an oppertunity to play serious minutes no matter how talented they are and no matter how well they do on loan or in brief appearances for us. The short-termist, impatient manner of this decision combined with our shocking form for blooding youngsters should be more than enough to make anyone worried for their careers and other youngsters that follow them.

As I said, they are the part of the first team now, a significant part. They will obviously play under a new manager. They are young, but they arent 16,17 year old boys now.

He actually said that he was happy with Morata and that he believed that Morata can grow into the striker to lead the line for us because he worked with him before... He was dead wrong on that.

I simply can't understand why the board didn't just fully back Conte after he won the PL in his first season. I mean I do understand why, the board got greedy and thought that Conte was making too much of a big deal since after all we are the best squad in the league... Klopp and Pep couldn't win in their own first seasons yet their clubs kept backing them fully, that's the difference, ultimately our board will make us a worse club in this thing keeps happening.

But I understand the board since they probably listened to Jose when he said that the club doesn't need De Bruyne so from that point on it's them who decide who is to come and who is to stay, yet not every manager is the same. Our problems go deeper than who is our manager at any given time, that much is clear.

Have you seen the list of  Conte’s signings at Inter? You don’t want to trust him your money.

Am I right in thinking that is the first direct quote from Abramovich ?  I don't recall one in the past, at least not an official one

It has been pretty clear for a while that the managers at Chelsea have limited input on the signing of players. They probably make requests but in many cases the board/scouting team handles things. We may never know whether Frank had any input on the signing of Werner and Havertz for example. Obviously he was going to back them when they arrived but who knows if he really identified them as targets? Perhaps the club already had a German manager in their sights as early as last summer?

I am pretty sure Sarri wanted Jorginho and kepa

Conte wanted Bakayoko, lukaku and ox. We got outbid by united for Lukaku, he got Bakayoko and ox decided to leave for pool after talking to Conte.

Of course there is club signing like in Pulisic case but most of the time it is always combination of manager, scout and money guy

I've heard a lot of criticism of Frank this season of his poor record against the big sides, United have 3 points against the traditional top 6 and have scored 1 goal in that run and that 1 goal was in the 6-1 thumping against Spurs.

I suspect the board will attempt to hire JT as an assistant manager or some coaching capacity in the summer given the nature of this firing being similar to di matteos and mourinhos where the fan base was hit emotionally , regardless of whatever position you stood on lampard being sacked or not. In those two firings the board brought mourinho back and Zola respectively as an attempt to bring some sort of “soul” back.

Thank you for bringing that up. United have been much better recently but they have also had a lot of favorable decisions, and there run has mostly been against weaker teams. In that time they also dropped out the Champions League, The true test will come when they play the traditional rivals. I think they have an outstanding front line but their poor defense will ultimately cost them, and probably Ole.

I’m gutted. All my life I’ve supported Chelsea, and the last 18 months have been my favourite. I know results dipped but Frank needed time. Disgraceful from the board IMO. I hope it’s not a good bye, just a see you soon. Go learn the trade elsewhere Frank and we’ll see you at the bridge in the home dug out again one day. Legend Frank 💙

Conte wanted to keep Matic it was the club's decision to sell Matic and bring in Bakayako as a younger alternative. In the case of Lukaku it was not simply a case of getting outbid by Man United, the board were dragging their heels on the agent fees because they were convinced Lukaku wanted to join us & United swooped in and benefitted from our slow agent fee negotiations.

The only reason Conte wanted Ox was to play him as a wingback and that is not the direction Ox wanted his career to go.

I really want Lamp to be successful and win big trophies so I don't want Lamp to be here last season. I wanted him to prove himself outside first before come to take such a massive job with us. Furthermore, we were and we are in rebuilding mode, I think it is better if Lamp get the job ala Zidane where he inherit a ready made squad that require almost nothing.

Agree with all of those. As much as i feel this is the best decision for Chelsea football club at this stage i really hope the good he has done doesn't get lost due to the way things ended.

Although I’m not sure he was up to the challenge, I feel we have done the dirty on him. Signed him up when we were on a transfer ban where nobody of the calibre we would want would take the job. Signed a number of players, and as soon as it started going wrong binned him.

But then, what do I know. Maybe players were complaining about him, lost the dressing room etc. Might not ever know.

but in reality it is done, it won’t be undone. Just hope his replacement does well for us

Matic wanted to leave and 40 m for Matic was absolute steal. I have no problem of being scooped by United especially when dealing with Mino Raiola. You are right about ox.

But my point still stand, saying that manager has no say in transfer is bs. You can tell that our manager has massive influence but of course unless you are Sir Alex you won't have 100% control of transfer plus you won't have enough time to scout player, so you need your scouting people to find player and of course there is financial part as well.

They're just making sh*t up as they go. Pathetic.

The problem I have with it is people will be quoting this nonsense for years to come, conveniently leaving out the obvious lies and probably adding their own for good measures.  Do people really pay these 'journalists' for their special insider knowledge?

Conte had just won the league and Kante, Matic partnership was touted as being the best Central midfield in the Premier League, breaking up the the heart of the team against the wishes of a title winning Manager tells you all you need to know how much input a Manager has in transfer dealings.

Not only did they sell Matic but they sold him to a direct rival, that's like Liverpool selling Fabinho to us for 40m.

I was more surprised about this news today, than i would of a week ago, i wonder if he knew pre Luton game?

I think he defo knew. Tuchel is in London today. I also think giving Mount the arm band was a thank you for everything. I hope he comes back one day.

This video is interesting to me in regards to this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m7ZRPu2D1A&ab_channel=EASPORTSFIFA.

Just harmless fun for FIFA player ratings at the time; Azpi quickly states 79 for Mount in the game, 81 for RLC and 84 for Jorginho. In my mind it shows his teammates didn't hole him in the same regard as FL did. We needed to have sold a MF or two as well as a left back this summer.

Can people stop posting stuff from the Athletic as though its a factual history of the incidents, its a bunch of journalists trying to make money from clicks on the internet. They have no amazing insight into the goings on at our club, many of their "journalists" are twatter f**kwits for gods sake.

Thanks for posting this, i was about to ask which all knowing guru contributes to this, crystal ball? Some supreme omniscient god no doubt.
