I think everyone wouldve took us being outplayed by the better sides all things considered.

But this is getting seriously worrying now.

Its been a massive positive seeing the academy players get a go, and its a bonus having a manager who understands the club.

But there are starting to look like a lot of negatives.

Defending is atrocious most games, how are we so much worse defensively than we were last season?

Attacking we are hit and miss, and while i feel lampard has an excuse since we lost hazard, the quslity that gets fed into Abraham is awful.

Mentality is perhaps the biggest worry for me, despite Lampard being a serial winner in his days, this team dont have that never say die attitude, we go a goal down and its curtains.

I know people will say im being reactionary, but theres no way Lampard will get away with losing so many games here, no one would.

If we finish outside having lost to soton, bouremouth, west ham, everton, plus who ever else, than he wint get a second season.

We were steamrolling the small teams before the last international break.

We weren’t, we were getting lucky. That Wolves game was looking like this Southampton game until we scored a fluke.

Okay Conte, f**k off and watch the Serie A now yeah?

I don't understand manager just sticked to the bench like a statue when all the players should have been given a kick on the arse.

Really have to start wondering about his lack of a plan in the attacking 3rd. We have way too much trouble against a poor teams. Does Frank only know how to counter?

Screwing with the midfield screwed up our attacking play. I'll say it until i am blue in the face or Lampard makes the change.

It needs to be Jorginho-Kovacic against most teams in this league. They were the foundation for everything that worked so well.

Kante is quite frankly useless most of the time against teams that sit deep.

Kovacic was banned today, my gripe is bringing on CHO instead of starting with Mount.

Yeah, frank definitely needs to start picking players who are banned.... Thats the problem.

People get upset about the price we might have to pay for certain players but we clearly haven't got the players to unlock teams at home.

West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton at home, and we couldn't score once in all these matches put together!

I'd rather Frank overpaid for something new and different than risk falling out of the top 4 because we haven't got the creativity to break down teams of this calibre.

Frank is a smart man and will realise how bad our home form is, so we have to trust him to address it no matter what the price is.

I wasn't talking about today in isolation. It's been a problem since Kante got back from injury.

He always plays, regardless of the opposition and its one of the biggest issues we have currently. Against deep-sitting team he doesn't give us nearly enough.
The oppositon is perfectly fine with him having the ball in their half because they know he's not going to do much with it.

Lampard has to give a reasonable explanation for the dross at home. It can‘t go on like this. ManU winning, damn it. Miserable Boxing day for us, it‘s on Lamps, sorry. We can‘t rely on a win against Spurs and then lose to the likes of Everton or Southampton. Transfer ban doesn‘t mean that you start losing against sh*t teams. I‘m fuming.

Still, I wouldn‘t trade Frank for any manager bar Simeone.

He'll be here next season regardless of what happens. Of that i have little doubt. Which is the right thing to do.

Before the season started we were all well aware this is a transitional season and results would vary. Transfer ban, lost our best player, lots of youngsters, young manager and so on.
It's obviously incredibly frustrating and Lampard are making mistakes but i this season really is all about building for the future.

I was wondering about that too. There is no need for a 20-minute meltdown from a manager to which no player would pay the slightest attention, but giving directions could be beneficial. Unless of course the players were already following instructions and said manager didn't know how to turn things around :huh2:

Slightly bizarre performance against a team battling for points, on the back of that supreme Spuds performance, Mount should of started, he brings a contagious energy to the team, he could be like JT, a real young Captain...

He was feeling unwell before the game apparently. I’m sure he was captain in one of our youth cup campaigns so he could be one for the future.

Cant understate the importance of the Arsenal game

Why? Why is it so important other than rivalry pride? Is 3 points. Just like spurs it matters little if we then loose to Watford, Norwich and Wolves.

Who is our next game?, the proximity of Spurs and Utd to us, or doesn't that matter......

Barkley is the sort of player who is probably worth picking against the lesser sides. He's crap against good teams, but usually does better against the sorts of teams that have been beating us recently.

Hope that is the last we see of Kante and Jorginho as a midfield two ...

Still just 3 points. Much rather have lost to Spurs and beaten West ham, everton, Bournemouth and Saints.

We must win Arsenal. Losing to lower teams is still not a problem, at least not yet.

Mate, seriously? We are still above Spurs and we won against them! Wouldn't trade that win for 12 points, I prefer the 3 points from 3 point lane :penqUIn:

I praised him after spurs and now I will give thim constructive criticism/feedback.

Lampard appears to be for all the praise he gets tactically naive and shows his lack of managerial experience(which is expected)when he has to think his way out of a problem during a match.

We have seen this numerous times already and we will continue to see it until he learns how to overcome low block teams and learns how to think his way out of problems. He appears to get a mental block and looks confused and puzzled at what is happening whenever we comes up against teams like Southampton you can see his expression on the touchline trying to conjure up a solution throwing darts at a darts board hoping one will stick.

I would be fascinated in understanding what analysis happens after those defeats, what does his and his team look at, what worked, what didn't and what do they take from post match analysis to go into the next match with a low block team because it appears nothing has been learnt or taken from those matches to because the same scenario keeps repeating over and over.

I believe he will crack it we just don't know how long it will take I just want to see signs of progress against low block, signs we are working on figuring out how to overcome these teams.

Matches like today reminds me or when we had Costa, I remember vividly a match against West Brom when they had deep low block Pulis special and Costa won is that match by chasing down a lost cause and rifling a shot in the top of the net.

We missied that and hopefully in the next few years our youngsters will be able to reach that level.
