Good programme on NBCSN at present 'inside the mind of Frank Lampard'

‘f**k off Mourinho’ is probably what’s in Franks mind right now :laugh2:

Playing Conte‘s system while how many Conte players were on the pitch?

Don‘t get me wrong, I am the biggest Jose lover. But he is totally losing it.

Super Frank totally schooled him and Mourinho couldn‘t do fxxk against it, he just watched on and the break didn‘t change it. Son is a clear red and the Spurs fans again showed why they are the low-life scum everybody knows. Loving the Jose meltdown and so happy about Frank‘s calm reaction. Mou just can‘t take it that he got fxxked by Lampard. So happy to have Lampard at the helm and no toxic and sore loser. Long may it last.

Lampard has shown what he is capable of. How can anybody dislike this lad?

Now bring on Sancho!! Up the Chels!

It would be nice if Mou did a full honourable interview, one without his sarcastic barbs, no wonder we turned our backs on him

Don‘t worry. The broken ribs of Rüdiger won‘t hurt as much as Mourinho‘s hurt ego does. He just can‘t take it. Being on a high and getting beaten at home by a young, unproven manager. Love you Frank.

Getting beat by Chelsea and United must have really hurt him, I'm not surprised he's resorted to the sly digs.

I think he and most people expected Spurs to win this game comfortably, especially after his comments about us in big games.

Yeah agree about the hurt, to be fair in the interview admitted we were better in the first, said they changed it in the second and it was working yet it was the Red that cost them. He didn't think it was a Red and he made a point about our physical defending which I thought was hypocritical based on what Alderweirald was doing with holding Tammy in the box.

Still remember it is all about money and building belief and momentum, that would hurt yet he is trying to sell it to the Spurs faithful that was just a bad day at the office due to bad refereeing and they will be back.

I would have loved one of the questioners to have said, 'Hey Jose how does it feel to get beaten by one of your pupils?'

Shame none dared to say it.

I fully believe that was karma in work. His comments about us in big games and Mason/Tammy after United were bound to bite him at some point.

What I do find quite perplexing about Jose is he can't even get his counter attack right anymore, as Ole has shown that can still a be pretty effective weapon in big games but his side's can't even do that now, they literally get penned in and strangled against any half decent opposition having anything above a 5/10 performance.

I got slated towards the end of last season for moaning about Sarri never going over to clap/ acknowledge the away fans, and i used Lamps celebrating Derby beating Leeds in the playoffs and how he celebrated with the fans as a comparison.

I loved seeing that yesterday, and i imagine everyone in the away end did as well.

Mourinho was suggesting that Tottenham didn’t lose because of Chelsea being very good since the goals were a result of individual mistakes and not a failure in tactics.

Those remarks and the Conte comments are just an attempt to undermine Lamps’ tactical plan and an attempt to discredit Frank’s tactics.

Well Jose, you can protect your gameplan as much as you want and perhaps you are partly right, but: you managed to produce one shot on goal at HOME in the 97th minute. Deal with it!

Absolutely brilliant from Lamps yesterday! Tactical masterclass! I was really underwhelmed with the starting 11 when I first saw it, because I'm a fan of 433 and was worried we'd lack attacking threat with an extra defender. I was so wrong and happy to admit it!

We were brilliant all over the park - I wouldn't score any of our players under an 8/10. Special mention to Willian who gets a lot of stick on here, but yesterday he produced a 10/10 performance. He was unplayable! I'd say that was his best performance in a Chelsea shirt - even better than in the Champions League against Barca.

Best early Christmas present - I'm so happy!

Who cares what he says. I enjoy being underestimated.

Frank stated how important it was to have the whole week to prepare for Tottenham. For Soton we don't have that. I fully expect us to struggle in that one. Just says how much preparation means and how important it is to know how to play your opponent.

It is so important to have experience against a side and deep squad to win this league. We are pretty far from that and we should accept that.

Great article in The Athletic about how Lampard used a back three to tactically exploit Mourinho. Basically, he let Willian, Mount, and Tammy to press early, forcing bad passes, and then had five at the back preventing Tottenham for getting a fifth attacker unmatched - something they've done regularly with Aurier under Mourinho.

It would be massively against all odds. Jose is one of the all time greats.

Hope Frank ends up being a legendary manager for Chelsea.

I think he has already done that to some extent given how bad things were in the summer with Hazard leaving and transfer ban. I was dreading this season, really expecting it to be battle for top 8

To be in December in the top 4, established academy players and qualified for CL is massive achievement already. We shouldn’t underestimate the job he’s done. Souness was right when he said that Frank has had the hardest job in the Roman era.

I was thinking about the preparation time too, does it mean we have turned a corner or just down to extra prep time?

It's the reason I don't want too many changes, I want to see if last weeks formation can deliver. Last week we had 4 fast players about the pitch; Kante, Kovacic, Willian and Mount.

Against the Saints, Kovacic is out so we will be down to 3 fast players, so think he needs to be careful about other changes though personally I would like to see James.
