The need for full back change of guard has never been highlighted as much as in that half. 

Haven't been able to watch it all the time, their work rate is very high and closing us down effectively.

We have broken in space though have not been clinical.

Arrizabalaga unlucky on third and Abraham defending in the box tonight has been a nightmare.

Lille ia leading at Valencia. I have no hope for a recovery from us here, we have been extremely poor. I don't think there is one single player i can say it played well in this first half. Azpi sleeping for the second goal, in line with his regular poor performances lately, age caught up with him. Alonso simply has no place at Chelsea anymore. Overall very disappointing half

Really? Blaming the ref? Jesus. Is it that hard to admit we are being outplayed and are clearly under prepared. This score has nothing to do with the ref.

As a team, that was a very poor first half from us. I don't think we can blame just one player, there were a lot of poor perfomances out there. The only ones that have looked decent is Kovacic and Pulisic, the rest are well off their game. The four defenders are getting dragged all over the place, the midfield is struggling to bring the ball out and the attackers are out of sync. Ajax have been good, but we knew they would start strong, it's what they do, we just approached it all wrong.

The fullbacks have not helped the cause today and yes when the embargo ends at least one of them should be moved on. The keeper also had his part in the 1st & 3rd goals, he doesn’t exactly command the penalty box either.  Ajax have been almost perfect and CFC the exact opposite, gonna be a big big ask to get anything but sweet FA out of this match in the 2nd unfortunately.

Outplayed? They had 1 shot on target, somehow scored 3 goals. Luck is alive and well.

If there's any positions we need to invest into , its is our full-back positions. Alonso isn't any good, Azpi isn't going to get any younger, and Emerson injuries don't make him seem like a player you can fully rely on.

guys they're the best team on the road in the UCL with us. but the worst at home (just like us). Add some very good football and we're there in this situation. Need kanté atm imo. and probably alonso off.

This match highlighted the need for us to go shopping in the transfer window for a new set of fullbacks.

Alonso is even slower and is more terrible at crosses now. He's better suited in a slower paced football league.

Azpi is doing a Brana on us. It won't be long until he goes full Brana.

I don't think the ban will be reduced and with the season Leicester is having they won't sell and Chilwell is probably not in a hurry to move either, he's got 4.5 years left on his contract, going to cost a bomb I think even in the summer

The sooner Reece James cements himself as a starter the better, I've said it for a while now, Azpilcueta can't match the standards. Even last game against Watford imo he was our worst player, couldn't stop misplacing passes. 

Ajax have been decent, not spectacular. We’ve gifted them two goals.

Get an early goal and we got a good chance. F*cking Alonso, he does my head in. Positives are Kovacic and Pulisic, f*cking hell Kovacic looks like Hazard at moments.

Why are we so shocking at defending set pieces. Three crosses three goals. Alonso and  Azpi have been particularly hopeless this half both in defence and in attack. Emerson had to play this game.
