True, average is probably too kind to him. We'll go with below average.

Will see if Potter manages to get some magic out of him. If not Todd has shown he is will to take big losses to move on players we don't want anymore.

He's a myth. Take away the CL goal he has been nothing short of a flop.

Link up play is inconsistent, if not borderline atrocious.

Horrendous in tight spaces.

Can't dribble.

Can't finish.

Can't take a player on.

No technique in anything he does.

Oh but he works his socks off. He works his arse off every match. Up your standards. We had technical brilliance in attackers in Hazard and Drogba. We shouldn't be relying on players that run a lot because they are limited technically.

Should be the first to go next summer. Along with Ziyech.

He scored the winner against West Ham last time out in the league and had the only headed attempt on target last night.

So although he may not be doing enough we generally Sterling apart do not have another decent goal scorer until either Broja or Auba step up.

I guess we need to find any positive we can.

I would give Broja the start over him regradless at this point

Some fan here were saying last year: drop Lukaku , Havertz will leads the line for years 😞

he can press , he works hard, good header, this our number 9,…

you can make every players look good when you play the tactic that suits them.

i don’t think he is bad but he is not being use like when he was @ Leverkusen.

doing that first to get his confidence back.

if we can buy a good playmaker with vision then some of our attackers will look decent.

With or without Havertz, Lukaku should be dropped

Still better than Aubameyang though.

He's played 125 minutes lmao like just over a single game. Just simply not true is it, i'll bet Auba finishes the season on a lot more goals than Kai playing the same role.

I wonder if Lamps was right about Havertz all along, he saw him as more of a goalscoring midfielder than a an out and out forward. Interestingly in a mould of his own, even more interestingly when asked Kai said that was his preferred and favourite position. Maybe playing him where he likes it the most could be the key to unlocking his talent. As a sole number 10 rather than a dual.

When he plays sole false 9 he's basically doing everything he would do as a midfielder just starting off more advanced before dropping into spaces and trying to link with others.

Frank saw Kai and Mason as two 10s that could play in the 8 role like how Pep uses his AMs. Since TT took over we never saw Kai play as an 8 again or a sole 10 if I recall correctly. He's played everywhere except there. Defensively I don't think he's quite discplined to play the 8 role just yet. However, in a 433 with two hard working mids it could work, if he's coming off the right hand side or even the left and playing balls in behind, making deep runs into the box to finish off attacks.

I still think to get the best out of him for now, you play PEA and Raheem either side of him in a 433. With Kai playing the false 9 position and then you can have Mason or Conor as an 8 which means effectively you have two elite wingers who can finish and multiple bodies in the middle commited to chance creation, ball recovery/work rate.

I don't think PEA should be played through the middle as a sole or double striker, he's got more space coming off the wing. As we've seen with Raheem when he was false 9 under TT he didn't get as much space as he is getting now he'd back on the wing which is another thing TT did do before he got sacked.

If he is an 8, then its an even bigger problem for him because we have many 8s better than him. He would be on the bench alot more.

Not sure about his defensive qualities to play as an 8 either. Mount and Gallagher play as 8 and can do everything Kai does but offer more energy, and work rate.

I for one hate using this term, but it really is annoying seeing Havertz stans continue to defend his poor performances by claiming he's played of position.

Oh he needs to be behind the striker.

Oh he needs to be a #8

Oh he needs to be on the wing next to the striker

Oh he needs to be that midfielder who takes up 3/4 of the space left behind the striker and the DM...

Just excuse after excuse, obscenity after obscenity for this bloke. He's played virtually every position in the attack and midfield since he's been here and has looked appalling or inconsistent every time.

Face it.

He's a striker that can't score.

A midfielder that can't lead a transition under pressure.

A attacking midfielder that can't create.

A winger that can't take players on or dribble in tight spaces.

Maybe he is the defensive midfielder we have been asking for then! 😆
