Kai Havertz

Featured Replies

That long strike by Havertz was 50 in 1. Of course he uses that up for Germany not us. The 2nd goal was typical Havertz. I still don’t know what his best position is, weird player.

But in typical english fashion they are bigging up the bulldog spirit in fighting back and almost winning the game. Forgetting of course that Maguire had the assist for the first goal, Maguire culpable for the second goal and Pope effectively announcing his international retirement for the third goal.

Difference being that Kai, like most Germans, are very passionate about playing for their country but, imo, he is not with us. Is his day job, Germany is his fun.

Didn't he play that role against Salzburg and play like absolute sh*te?

Havertz and Werner always had good chemistry.

No surprise without Werner, Havertz is even more inconsistent.

Absolutely useless and ineffective performance yet again. His turnovers through poor control or shooting always puts us in immediate danger. I hope we find someone who can buy him.

The White Pepe.

A bit harsh. I think all attackers bar Mount looked poor first half and the team just looked lost with the system. He did that brilliant run where he ran past Mings and got fouled but kept his balance and strided through and played in Sterling who hit the crossbar. Defo needs to up his game more but he was not completely anonymous yesterday.

That bit you mentioned where Sterling hit the bar was the only good thing he done all game lol. Pound for pound though he is our worse outfield player.

Yeah starting to get a bit worrying. The bizarre thing on twitter is all the chelsea 'fans' that spew hate on Mount are all the ones with Havertz profile pics. I imagine its their insecurity watching their start boy get out performed by a free academy graduate.

Honestly baffled there are some that still defend him. He's now entering Werner territory how people are going about stating "he worked hard".

Striker that can't score.

A winger that can't dribble.

A attacking midfielder that can't create.

Never really rated him and getting worse. He really is a tough watch, offers nothing other than a headed goal every 6 weeks or so and a nice turn/flick in a non threatening area every now and again

I really thought he'd improve and kick on under GP, quite the reverse he's got worse since TT left

CL winning goal aside- he's one of the most expensive flops we've had the displeasure to witness in a blue shirt

Counter point is he like Temo looks alright playing for The Krauts national team

It's ridiculous how many people bought into the ridiculous notion Tuchel was holding our attacking players back.

When the same attacking players were just as poor under Frank and have literally never played well at the highest level (the Premier league)

They're mostly just not very talented unfortunately, Havertz falls into the untalented group.

I've never known an attacking player be labeled a generational talent while being a poor finisher, having no creativity and not being able to dribble past anyone.

He looks silky because of his body language and style of play but in terms of actually showing supreme technique or a skillset to trouble defenders he really hasn't shown much at all here.

He's out of excuses now and today should be the last chance he gets for a long time. If Broja had any of Mount, Gallagher, Sterling or Pulisic playing alongside him tonight, I am confident that we would have got a goal. I would love to know why Potter thought it was a good idea to leave him on until the 80th minute and take Broja off before him. Did he really think Broja was the issue and not Havertz? Did he really believe that Havertz just needed somebody better alongside him?
